CSIR NET Admit Card 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the CSIR NET 2026 admit card on July 13, 2026 on its official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can access and download their admit cards by logging in with their application number and date of birth. NTA earlier released the CSIR NET 2026 CIty Intimation Slip on July 8, 2026 at the official website. Candidates could download their CSIR NET June 2026 City Intimation Slip from the official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in. The CSIR NET 2026 Exam is scheduled to be held on July 17 and 18, 2026.

If a candidate is found without the CSIR NET admit card, then he or she will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. Hence, it is always advisable for candidates to download the CSIR NET admit card and keep the hard copy safe till the exam day. Apart from the application form and admit card, candidates must also check their CSIR NET eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Only those candidates will be able to download their CSIR NET June 2026 admit card who have successfully filled out the CSIR NET application form. CSIR NET 2026 Advance City Intimation Slip

The NTA released the advance city intimation slip for the CSIR NET June 2026 exam on July 8, 2026 at the official website. The City slip is  released 10 days before the exam date on the official portal,csirnet.nta.nic.in.  

Please note that the admit card for the June 2026 examination is issued separately. This is only an advance intimation of the exam city allotted, where the examination centre will be located. Candidates can now download the CSIR NET admit card by logging in with a valid registration number and password, which they received at the time of registration.

Since the CSIR NET hall ticket is an essential document, candidates are advised to check each detail mentioned carefully. The hall ticket consists of the name of the candidate, roll number, exam date and venue, exam timing and other information. NOTE: In case of a name change of the candidate due to marriage, then the candidate is required to show the relevant document at the time of the exam, which may include a Decree / Divorce/ Legal Name Change Document,/ Marriage Certificate. 

There are times when the information present on the admit card does not match what the candidate has provided in the application form. This is known as a discrepancy in the admit cards. In these case scenarios, candidates must immediately report to the concerned authorities and get those errors rectified. Candidates can approach the authorities through the helpline between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm. If those errors are not rectified, then those who bring the admit card with the errors will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. 

Candidates should contact the relevant authorities if they do not get their amended admit card within 10-15 days of the test. Candidates must include information, including their name, date of birth, application online number, subject, the kind of exam being taken, and the testing location in any correspondence with the CSIR NET.

There are certain items that the candidates are not allowed to carry inside the examination hall. Candidates can take a look at the given items below : 

  • Any printed or written document, scraps of paper, mobile phone, Bluetooth devices, pager, or other electronic devices, including calculators, Docupens, SlideRules, Log Tables, and electronic watches with calculator capabilities. It is not permitted for applicants to bring any electronic devices or gadgets inside the examination room or hall.
  • It is completely forbidden to smoke, chew gum, spit, etc., in the examination hall. Instruments, geometry sets, pencil boxes, handbags, purses, any type of paper or stationery, food, beverages, and water (free-flowing or packed), as well as mobile phones, earphones, microphones, pagers, calculators, cameras, tape recorders, and other metallic objects, are not permitted in the examination hall.

  • Candidates should reach the exam hall 2 hours before the commencement. 
  • The invigilator will check each candidate's identification throughout the time frame by examining the candidate's original Unique Picture Id Proof and Online Admit Card.
  • Candidates whose applications contain fraudulent or forged information will have their applications rejected, and they will also be prohibited from sitting in NTA examinations.
  • After finishing the exam, applicants must turn in their rough sheets to the invigilator who is on duty in the room. All calculations and writing must be done on the given rough sheet, which is placed in the centre of the examination room or hall.
  • Any candidate found to have changed the room, the hall, or the seat on their own instead of being assigned would be considered to have used unfair methods, and their candidature would be withdrawn without consideration of any defence.
  • Applicants must arrive at the examination location by the reporting time or earlier. Candidates may not enter the exam hall after 30 minutes have passed before the exam.
