Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment 2023: The Indian Army conducts the Agniveer Recruitment 2023 every year in order to recruit candidates for the position of Agniveer (General Duty), Agniveer (Technical), Agniveer (Clerk & Storekeeper), Agniveer (Tradesman). Candidates willing to be recruited in the Indian Army as Agniveer must fulfil the eligibility criteria for their preferred post. The Agniveer eligibility criteria may vary depending on the post.

The Agniveer (General Duty) is the most preferred post among aspirants. Students must have passed Class 10 with 45% aggregate marks. Aspirants must also fulfil the age limit criteria to apply for the Agniveer exam. The Agniveer age limit for all posts is 17.5 - 21 years. 

Candidates are selected as Agniveer through online written examination and recruitment rally. The Agniveer Recruitment Rally is conducted by Indian Army for candidates who pass the written examination. Candidates undergo a Physical Standard Test & Medical Test based on which the final merit list is released. For the written examination, the Agniveer syllabus includes subjects like General Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Mathematics, and General Science. 

What is Agniveer?

  • As per the Agnipath Scheme, Indian Armed Forces recruits candidates for different job roles called Agniveers. 
  • The candidates recruited as Agniveers are required to complete the four years of service. After the completion of four years of service, it is upon the discretion of the Indian Army, whether they want to retain the candidate for a permanent job role or not. 
  • Agniveers are entitled to receive a salary of INR 30,000 per month. The salary rises to INR 40,000 per month in the fourth year of service. 
  • Apart from the Agniveer monthly salary, selected personnel also receives the Seva Nidhi Package of INR 10.04 lakhs (approx) after the completion of the four years of service.

Indian Army Agniveer Eligibility Criteria 2023

Candidates who wish to join as Agniveer in Indian Army must fulfil the required eligibility criteria. The basic eligibility criteria is to pass Class 10 with a minimum percentage required. However, for the post of Agniveer (Technical), candidates must have passed Class 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and English as mandatory subjects. The Agniveer age limit is 17.5 - 21 years without any exception for any post.

Indian Army Agniveer Registration 2023

Aspiring students who fulfil the Agniveer eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. The Indian Army has successfully concluded the Agniveer registration and exam for the year 2023. For the next cycle, the registration process will start soon on the official website of Join Indian Army.

While filling out the application fee, applicants are required to pay an application fee. The Agniveer application fee is INR 250/- The application fee can be paid through UPI, Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card. The application form must be filled out correctly with all personal and educational details as required in the form. Similarly, scanned copy of required documents must be uploaded to successfully fill out the application form.

Indian Army Agniveer Admit Card 2023

After the completion of the registration process and few days before the exam, Indian Army releases the Agniveer Admit Card. The admit card can be downloaded by candidates using their login credentials. It is imperative to verify all the details mentioned on the Agniveer admit card after downloading it. Any discrepancy in the admit card must be reported to the concerned authorities 

Indian Army Agniveer Exam Pattern 2023

As per the Agniveer exam pattern, the exam is conducted in two stages: Online CEE (Common Entrance Examination) and Recruitment Rally. Students who pass the Agniveer written exam are called for the Recruitment rally. The Agniveer written test comprises 50 questions carrying 2 marks each. Indian Army Agniveer Syllabus 2023

The Indian Army Agniveer Syllabus includes topics and subtopics from General Awareness, General Science, Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning. The standard of questions asked in the Agniveer exam is of Class 10 level. 

Aspirants must also practise Agniveer previous year question papers to get an idea of the types of questions asked in the exam. 

Indian Army Agniveer Salary 2023

Agniveers are entitled to various perks and benefits along with their salary. Agniveer monthly salary is INR 30,000. The monthly salary of Agniveer is INR 30,000. Over the course of four years, 30% of their monthly salary is given to the Agniveer Corpus Fund. The Indian government also contributes an additional 30% of the salary. Agniveers will get the money collected as part of the Seva Nidhi Package when the service is terminated.
