HPSSC Pattern 2023: The Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission (HPSSC) Test is administered by the Himachal Pradesh State Government. The test is conducted to recruit applicants wanting to work in the government departments of Himachal Pradesh. After the notification is published, qualified students can apply for a variety of positions including the role of Junior Engineer, Teacher, Lawyer, Assistant, Data Entry Operator, etc. 

The exam is conducted every year in two sessions which are: a written test followed by a screening test. The HPSSC notification 2023 has not been released yet and is expected to be issued by May 2023. HPSSC Exam Pattern 2023 Highlights

Some exam pattern highlights that students should make a note of include-

• The HPSSC exam will be held in two parts, a written test which will be followed by a screening test
• Candidates will first need to clear the written test in order to be eligible for evaluation, the second round
• The entire selection process will be of 100 marks, 85 marks for the written test and the remaining 15 for the evaluation/screening test
• Both rounds of the exam will be conducted offline
• There will be no negative marking in the exam, and candidates will get 0.50 marks for every correct answer
• Students will get a total of 2 hours to solve the exam and the paper will be objective in nature

HPSSC Pattern 2023: Exam Pattern for Different Posts

As already mentioned in the article, even though the general exam pattern will remain the same, some modifications and differences in the test format may take place for different posts. This is because all the posts that are offered by HPSSC are unconnected and independent, for instance, a Junior Engineer would be required to have technical knowledge, unlike a Telephone Operator. • Technical Questions- 120 questions, worth 60 marks
• English/Hindi/Everyday Science/Logical/General Knowledge, worth 25 marks

HPSSC Nurse Exam Pattern

To be a staff nurse, interested applicants should check the exam format for the same below-

• BSc Nursing knowledge at the diploma/degree level
• 120 Questions from the field of BSc nursing, worth 60 marks
• English/Hindi/Everyday Science/Logical/General Knowledge, worth 25 marks

HPSSC Conductor Exam Pattern

The conductor is a post which does not require applicants to have technical knowledge, hence there will be no moderation in the pattern for this specific post-

• Everyday Science/General Knowledge/English/ Hindi/ Logical
• Total of 170 questions
• Worth 85 marks

HPSSC Office Assistant Exam Pattern

Applicants wanting to be Junior Assistants in the state of Himachal Pradesh must check the exam pattern mentioned below-

• Questions from the field of B.Com: 120 questions worth 60 marks
