APPSC Cut-Off 2024: The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission will release the APPSC cut-off marks. The cut-off marks refer to the minimum qualifying that a candidate needs to score in order to qualify for the APPSC examination. The APPSC Group 1 cut-off marks are expected to be released along with the APPSC result.

Since the APPSC exam has three stages -- Prelims, Main and Interview, the cut-off marks will be released differently for each stage of the examination. Along with the cut-off, the exam conducting body will also release the minimum qualifying percentage and minimum qualifying marks to clear the exam. 

Further, candidates must know that the cut-off marks are different for candidates belonging to different categories. Also, there are several factors that determine the APPSC cut-off including how many candidates appeared for the examination, what was the difficulty of the examination and other details.

APPSC Group 1 Cut-Off 2024

APPSC cut-off is the qualifying marks that a candidate needs to score in order to qualify for the examination. Hence, it is important for candidates to secure minimum qualifying marks.  The exam conducting body releases the cut-off along with the results. Since the cut-off is different for candidates belonging to categories, the aspirant who belongs to the open category is required to score at least 40 %, whereas the backward community are required to score 35 % to clear the exam. 

On the other hand, the qualifying mark for the open category is 96 marks, whereas aspirants from the SC/ST and PHs need to score 72 marks to pass the exam. 

APPSC Group 1 Cut-off 2024: How to check?

Once the APPSC will release the result of APPSC Group 1, the cut-off marks will also be released. Further, candidates should note that the APPSC will release the cut-off for Prelim, Main and Interview separately.  

Once the cut-off is released, candidates can download the cut-off by following the simple steps.

Step 2: Candidates on the homepage will find the link that reads 'result' -- candidates need to click on that 

Step 3: Now, a new page will open where they have the facility to check the Cutoffs and answer keys for various examinations.

Step 4: The candidate need to scroll down on the APPSC Civil Services Examination Cut-off as well as the answer key 

Step 5: Candidates can check the APPSC cut-off marks for Groups 1 and 2 

Step 6:  A PDF will open and candidate can easily find their cut-off

Different Factors Determining APPSC Group 1 Cut-Off 

There are several factors which determine the cut-off of the APPSC Group 1 exam. However, these factors vary every year. Candidates can take a look at the following factors which are expected to determine the APPSC Cut-off. 

• The total number of candidates who appeared in the exam
• Difficulty Level of the Examination

In order to have an idea of the variation in cut-off for over the years, aspirants are advised to check the cut-off of the previous year.

The APPSC result for prelims and mains are made available on the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission's official website. The results are released in the form PDF. The exam conducting body will release the PDF which will consist of the roll number of the candidates who have qualified for the exam. 

Candidates who will qualify for the APPSC prelim will be then eligible to appear for the Main exam. Later, those candidates who qualified for the Main exam, then he or she will be eligible to appear for the APPSC interview. Only those candidates will be shortlisted for the Job who has qualified for all three stages of the examination.

Step 2: On the homepage, students will find the link that reads 'results' -- click on that 

Step 3: A new page will open where candidates need to click on the respective link in order to download the APPSC Group 1 results

Step 4: Once clicked, a new page will open which will have the results in the pdf form

Step 5: The result will consist of the roll number of the candidates who have qualified for the exam

Step 6: Candidates can check their results by looking at their roll number
