APPSC Exam 2023: APPSC Exam 2023: APPSC Group 1 Mains exam 2023, has begun on June 03, 2023, and came to an end on June 10, 2023. Further, the APPSC has also released the APPSC Admit Cards 2023 on its official website. Candidates who are appearing for the APPSC Group 1 Mains exams can download the hall tickets till June 02, 2023. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours and the paper will begin at 10:00 am and will conclude at 1:00 pm. Candidates appearing for the examination are advised to download their hall ticket by logging in on the official portal. 

The APPSC exams 2023 are conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission. The APPSC exam 2023 takes place in three stages which are APPSC Prelims, APPSC Mains, and APPSC Interview. Candidates have to clear all three stages of the exam to get recruited for the post which they have applied for. Further, the APPSC has already released the application form for Group 1 last year on October 13 and the APPSC application process came to an end on November 02, 2022. With that, the APPSC prelims exam 2022-23 has already taken place on January 08, 2023. Now, the Group 1 Mains exam 2022-23 started on June 03, 2023, and concluded June 10, 2023. 

It should be noted that the APPSC prelims and mains admit card is released separately. This means that the APPSC Prelims 2022-23 admit card was released before the commencement of the prelim exam and the APPSC Mains admit card 2022-23 was also released on May 24, 2023. 

Meanwhile, the first step which will help the candidate to appear for the APPSC Exam 2023 is to check the APPSC eligibility criteria and after that filling the APPSC application form 2023. The APPSC has already released the result of the prelims exam, and candidates who have qualified for the examination will be eligible to appear for the mains exam.


The APPSC exam is a state-level exam and takes place once a year. The exam is conducted in offline mode. There are 4 groups for the APPSC exam, and the groups offer different posts to candidates. The APPSC official notification consists of a syllabus, exam pattern and marking scheme. APPSC Application Process 

The application form for APPSC has been released by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission. Before filling out the application process, candidates must check the eligibility criteria laid out by the education body in order to appear for the examination. Candidates have to fill out the application form once for prelims, and then once the candidate has qualified for the prelims will then appear for the mains exam. The APPSC successfully conducted the Prelims exam on January 08, 2023. Now, the APPSC mains exam started on June 03, 2023.

APPSC Admit Card 

The APPSC prelim and mains admit card is released by the APPSC on the official website. Meanwhile, the APPSC has already released the APPSC Mains admit card 2022 on its official website. Candidates can download their admit card by visiting the official website and logging in. Since the recruitment exam has three stages - Prelims and mains, the education body releases hall tickets for Prelim and mains separately. 

APPSC has already released the dates for the Group 1 mains Exam as the exam has already taken place. Now, the APPSC mains exam is set to take place from the month of April. Those candidates who will successfully fill out the application form will be able to get their APPSC Group 1 mains admit card. Further, hall tickets are an essential document, it consists of several important pieces of information including name of the candidate, reference ID, father's name and other information.

APPSC Group 1 Exam Syllabus 

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission releases the APPSC syllabus for prelims and mains exams. Candidates are advised to check the syllabus thoroughly first before beginning the preparation of the examination. Needless to say, the APPSC syllabus plays an essential role for candidates who are appearing in the exam. The APPSC mains exam syllabus consists of two qualifying papers and five merit-ranking papers. Further, candidates must know that the syllabus for prelim and mains are different. 

APPSC Exam Pattern 

APPSC releases the APPSC Prelim and mains Group 1 exam pattern along with the official brochure. The APPSC exam pattern is released in the form of a PDF. The exam pattern sheds light on the maximum number of weightage of questions from specific topics, in which mode the exam will be conducted, and others.

APPSC Prelims Group 1 Exam Pattern 2023

Candidates are recommended to check the exam pattern before planning to take the APPSC Prelim exam. The APPSC prelim exam has two papers and both the papers are MCQ type.  The test is given in an offline format. In addition, the exam has negative markings, and one-third of the marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. On the other hand, the exam carries a total of 120 marks because each question is of 1 mark.

APPSC mains Group 1: Exam Pattern 

The APPSC mains exam is conducted in offline mode. On the other hand, there are seven descriptive papers in the test, each worth 150 marks. The test also includes Telugu and English qualifying exams.

APPSC Results

APPSC Prelims and mains results are declared by the APPSC on the official website. Candidates can use the official website to view the APPSC results. The results will be released in the PDF format and candidates can check their roll number in that document. Meanwhile, the APPSC has already conducted the APPSC prelim exam and has also released the results for the same. 

Candidates who have qualified for the prelims section are now eligible to appear for the APPSC Group 1 mains exam. Those candidates who will clear the APPSC mains exam will then appear for the APPSC interview round.  APPSC began the mains exam on June 03, 2023, and the exam came to an end on June 10, 2023. 

To pass the exam, candidates must score a minimum qualifying percentage. Students who fall under the SC, ST, and PH categories must achieve a score of 30% in order to pass the test, whereas open-category applicants must achieve a score of 40%. In comparison, applicants in the open category must receive at least 96 marks to pass the test, while SC, ST, and PH candidates must receive 72 marks to be eligible to take the test.
