NEET PG Exam Pattern 2026: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) releases the exam pattern for the NEET PG on the official website along with the official notification. The official notification of NEET PG 2026 will include information on the NEET PG exam pattern, syllabus, and marking scheme. According to the latest exam pattern, the NEET PG question paper consists of 200 questions, each carrying four marks. With this, the total marks of the NEET exam are 800. The exam will consist of negative marking, and the questions will be asked in MCQ form.

Earlier, the NEET PG exam consisted of 300 questions, which have now been reduced to 200. Hence, earlier, the total marks for the exam were given as 1200, and now the marks have also been reduced to 800. The exam pattern also gives an idea about which topic contains more weightage. Candidates are required to go through the NEET PG pattern for better exam preparation. The exam pattern consists of important details, including the mode, medium, number of questions, duration of time, and the marking scheme. Candidates should note that the exam will be conducted in CBT mode and the question paper will comprise 200 questions.

Examination Mode 

As per the latest exam pattern, the NEET PG exam is conducted in online mode, which means the exam is held in computer-based mode (CBT). In order to have a better understanding of the examination, candidates are advised to appear for the mock test. 

Medium of Exam 

Candidates should note that they do not have the provision to appear in the examination in any regional language. Hence, candidates can only appear for the exam in the English language. 

Exam Duration 

The NEET PG exam is conducted for a duration of 3.5 hours. Candidates had to attempt every question during this time stamp.

Total Number of Questions Asked in NEET PG

A total of 200 questions are asked in the NEET PG examination. Further, the question paper is divided into three sections. A subject-wise weightage for NEET PG has been released by the NBE.
