GATE COAP 2025 Dates: IISc Bangalore will be the coordinating institute for COAP 2025. The registration process for COAP 2025 will commence in March after the announcement of the result. IISc Bangalore will also release the information brochure for COAP 2025 on the official website.
The Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) is the online platform on which all participating institutes or PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) will upload their offers within a specified time period. The candidates who have registered for COAP 2025 can access the admission offers/ job offers from all the participating institutes / PSUs in which they have applied for M.Tech admissions / jobs.
For admission into M.Tech programs in any of the participating institutes or applying for a job in any participating PSU, every candidate should also apply to the corresponding Institute/ PSU separately.

What is COAP 2025?
The Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) is a platform for centralised counselling used by registered candidates for admission into various postgraduate programs in engineering, such as M.Tech/M.Des in the participating institutes. Students can make their choices of institutions and programs based on their GATE scores and their preference. The COAP facilitates the process of seat allocation and acceptance.
Every year, the GATE organising institute of the preceding year acts as the coordinating institute for COAP. For 2025, IISc Bangalore is the coordinating institute. There are 24 institutes that will participate in COAP 2025 including IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee among others.

COAP 2025 Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for COAP 2025 counselling, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria mentioned below:
- The candidate registering for COAP 2025 must be an Indian National.
- The candidate must possess a valid GATE score (Qualified in GATE 2025/2024/2023)
COAP 2025 Registration Process
Only those candidates who have qualified in GATE 2025/2024/2023 and wish to apply for M.Tech.admission in any of the participating institutes/job offers in PSUs are eligible to register at COAP 2024. The registration process will commence in March 2024. The detailed COAP 2025 registration process is given below:
Step 1: Visit the official COAP website.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Register’ option
Step 3: To register at COAP 2025, the following details will be required by the candidate
- Name of the candidate
- GATE Registration number(s)
- Valid GATE score(s)
- Date of birth
- Email ID
- Mobile number
Step 4: Click on the ‘Submit’ option to submit your registration.
Step 5: You will receive login information via Email/SMS.
Step 6: Click on ‘Login’ option available on the homepage and verify registration details.
Step 7: Enter additional GATE score (if any, in the last three years) and submit.
COAP 2025 Portal: Steps to check admission offers
Candidates can follow the steps given below to check the admission offers received:
Step 1: Register at the COAP 2025 as per the official schedule.
Step 2: Candidates must separately apply to respective IITs and PSUs using the COAP registration number.
Step 3: If a candidate receives any offer, it will be displayed on the dashboard.
Step 4: The following options will be given to the candidates:
- ‘Accept and Freeze’: Candidates should select this option if he/she is willing to accept one of the offers. Subsequently, the candidate should visit the respective institute's admission portal or PSU's joining portal and complete the admission/joining procedure.
- ‘Reject’: A candidate can select this option if they are not willing to accept any of the offers in the current round. All the offers made during that round will be considered as rejected.
- ‘Retain and Wait’: This option should be selected if a candidate indicates his/her partial acceptance to any one of the available offers and also would like to be considered for upgrading to the candidate's higher preferences.
Step 5: After the candidate has selected and finalised an offer at COAP, they have to then visit the official website of the IIT/PSU of which they have accepted the offer and complete the admission process as per their set guidelines and dates.

The offers are provided by the participating institutes/PSUs in rounds. A total of 10 rounds are conducted in COAP counselling including 5 main rounds and 5 additional rounds. The dates for each round of COAP 2025 counselling process are given below.
