Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET): The Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, situated in Longowal, Sangrur Punjab was founded in 1989 by the Government of India. The institute is an autonomous body, fully funded by Govt. of India and controlled by SLIET society.

SLIET offers Certificates, Diplomas, Undergraduate and Postgraduate approved and recognized by AICTE, New Delhi. PhD programs were introduced after attaining the status of Deemed to be University. Admission into the various courses offered by Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology is done through national-level eligibility exams and counseling like JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, GATE followed by CCMT counseling and M.Sc admission through CCMN counseling. 

The Placement cell at SLIET oversees the internships and recruitment process of students, it has successfully managed to place SLIET students into some of the esteemed organizations like Google, Microsoft, TCS, ISGEC, GE India, Afcons Infra., Honda, L & T, Hero Group, Trident Group, Godrej, Vardhman Industries, Mahindra & Mahindra, Reliance, Infosys, Hewlett Packard, LG, Wipro, Honeywell and many more. 

SLIET spans an expansive 451 acres of land allocated by the Punjab Government. SLIET Admission 2025

The Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sangrur offers a variety of specializations to pursue in engineering, Technology and sciences at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. 

SLIET admissions are done through national-level eligibility exams conducted by the NTA( National Testing Agency) like the JEE Main for B.Tech, GATE for M.Tech, JAM for M.Sc and NET for doctoral programs. 

SLIET Admission 2025: Latest Updates

• NTA has released the JEE Main phase schedule and examination dates for 2025.
• JEE Main will be held in two phases,i.e. January and April 2025.
• Phase 1 registrations have concluded, the exam will take place from 22nd to 31st January 2025.
• For M.Tech admissions 2025, GATE registrations have closed, the exam is scheduled on the 1st, 2nd, 15th and 16th of February 2025.
