GAT 2024: Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (Deemed to be University), Visakhapatnam has commenced the process of GITAM Admission Test (GAT) 2024 for admissions to UG and PG programs. It is a comprehensive entrance examination conducted by the institute in five phases for admission across various GITAM campuses.

The institute would initiate the process of GAT 2024 with the entrance examination for Engineering programs which is scheduled to be conducted on 6 January 2024. This will be followed by examinations for other disciplines which will be conducted on 7 January 2024.

GAT 2024 will take place across 50 centers in all the major cities in India including Bengaluru, Chandigarh, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Mumbai, and Pune. The examination will be conducted in phases spanning from January to June 2024 so that students can opt for a suitable testing window as per their convenience. In order to apply for GAT 2024, the minimum eligibility required is HSC (10+2) with a minimum of 60% marks.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for admission to the GAT Engineering (UG) program in 2023, applicants must meet certain criteria. A minimum percentage of 60 is required, with a relaxation to 55% for those with a CBSE or ICSE background. Additionally, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education with a focus on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. For those aspiring to enter the B.Tech. Biotechnology program, an option to substitute Biology for Mathematics is available. It is important to note that candidates should have completed their 10+2 from recognized educational boards, with open schools and single sitting boards not being accepted. These prerequisites are essential for qualification in the GAT Engineering (UG) program for the year 2024.
