Karnataka SSLC Syllabus 2025: Check KSEAB 10th subject-wise Syllabus and Exam Pattern

Karnataka SSLC Syllabus 2025: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has released the KSEAB SSLC syllabus for the class 10 board examination. Students who plan to prepare for the exam must read the syllabus thoroughly.

It is mandatory for the students of class 10 that they start their Karnataka SSLC exam  preparation with a copy of the correct syllabus. The syllabus for all the main subjects including mathematics, science, social science and languages are given. Along with the syllabus, students must also be aware of the exam pattern and marking scheme of the examination.

The KSEAB board conducts Karnataka School Leaving Certificate Examination (SSLC) for the students of class 10th, every year. It is an offline examination consisting of six papers. Students have to appear for all the papers and score at least 35% marks in aggregate to pass the examination. The Karnataka SSLC result is released online on the official website of the board.

Karnataka SSLC Syllabus 2025

The KSEAB board SSLC syllabus for all the subjects has been given by the board. There are six compulsory subjects in the Karnataka class 10th board examination - Mathematics, Science, Social Science and three language papers. For the Language Paper 1, students can choose from Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, English and Sanskrit. Language Paper 2 has Kannada and English as options and the third language can be chosen from Hindi, Kannada, English, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Sanskrit, Konkani and Tulu.

Karnataka SSLC Syllabus 2025: English 

In KSEAB SSLC exams, there are several language papers for all first, second and third languages and English is one of them. English as a language paper tests reading, writing and overall proficiency in the language. The Karnataka 10th board English paper contains questions broadly from the four sections listed below.

• Supplementary Reading

The SSLC English exam contains questions mainly in the form of Reading Comprehension, Prepositions, Conjunction, Transformation of Sentences, Synonyms, Antonyms, Punctuations, Tenses, Sentence Correction, Vocabulary etc. 

Karnataka SSLC Exam Pattern 2025

The Karnataka SSLC Exam consists of six papers, namely, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and three language papers. Students can choose language papers from Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, English and Sanskrit. The detailed exam pattern is given in the table below:
