CBSE 12th Exam Pattern 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education class 12 exam pattern 2025 can be checked online. The board officials revised the CBSE 12th exam pattern for the academic session 2024-25 to enhance the learning & concept application skills among the students.
The CBSE class 12 exams 2025 was started on February 15 and are scheduled to be concluded on April 4, 2025. The latest CBSE exam pattern 2025 for class 12 comprises competency-based questions (MCQs, case-based, source-based questions, etc.) which will carry 40% weightage. The Multiple choice questions (MCQs) will carry 20% weightage and short/answer type questions will carry 40% weightage. Along with the latest CBSE 12th exam pattern, students should also develop a clear understanding of the class 12 exam syllabus.
According to the CBSE marking scheme for class 12, each subject has a maximum of 100 marks. The theory exams for subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are allotted 70 marks, while commerce subjects such as Accountancy, Economics, and Business Studies have an 80-mark theory paper. Mathematics, commonly opted for by both Commerce and Science students, also carries 80 marks for the theory paper, with the remaining 20 marks allocated to internal assessment.

- The paper for each subject will carry a total of 100 marks
- Students need to secure a minimum of 33% in every subject and overall to qualify for the CBSE 12th exams 2025.
