Latest Updates: The GSEB 10th exam pattern has been updated for the 2023-24 academic year. Students can now retake three subjects in the supplementary exams (previously, they could retake only two). The state government has also announced changes to the exam pattern for Class 10 and Class 12, which are in line with the National Education Policy 2020. These changes include increasing the weightage of objective questions from 20% to 30% and decreasing the weightage of descriptive questions from 30% to 20%.

The GSEB 10th board exam duration is 3 hours and the maximum mark for the theory exam is 80 marks. The question paper has 4 sections: Section A, B, C, and D. Candidates need to score a minimum of 33% in the GSEB SSC Exam 2024 to clear it.

GSEB 10th Exam Pattern 2024
The exam pattern till 2019 was different and consisted of two parts: Part A and Part B. Part B was further divided into 4 sections. Each of the two parts had a weightage of 50 marks. The total marks for the examination was 100.
However, now, the exam question paper consists of 4 sections and the theory exam maximum marks is 80. Section A has a marks weightage of 24 marks. Section B and Section C have a marks weightage of 18 marks each. Section D has a marks weightage of 20 marks. The total number of questions in the SSC question paper is 54 for most subjects.
