IBPS SO Exam 2024 - The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Specialist Officers (SO). The recruitment notification is released for a total of 896 vacancies for the posts of IT Officer (Scale I), Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I), Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I), Law Officer (Scale I), HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I) and Marketing Officer (Scale I).

Along with the notification, the IBPS SO application form was released on August 1, 2024. Eligible candidates can register for the IBPS SO 2024 exam through the official website - ibps.in. The last date to apply has been extended to August 28, 2024. As per the calendar released by the exam-conducting body, IBPS SO Prelims exam will be conducted in November 9, 2024. Meanwhile, IBPS SO Mains exam will be conducted on December 14, 2024

The exam will be conducted in three stages - IBPS SO Preliminary exam, IBPS SO Main exam and Interview round. IBPS SO Application Form 2024

The IBPS SO application form has been released in the online mode at ibps.in. Candidates can fill the application form within the specified time frame, that is, August 1 to August 28, 2024. The application process consists of multiple steps including registration, filling of application form, uploading scanned documents and paying the application fee. To fill the application form, candidates can follow the instructions given below.

• Visit the official website - ibps.in.
• On the homepage, click on the link that mentions ‘Register Here for IBPS SO 2024’.
• Register for the exam by providing your name, mobile number and email ID. 
• Candidates will receive an OTP on their registered contact number. Use the OTP to generate your registration number and password.
• Now login into the candidate registration portal using your generated credentials.
• Fill in the application form carefully by providing the required information.
• Candidates will be required to upload their scanned photograph and signature in the specified format.
• Upon completing the application form, click on submit.
• Pay the requisite fees through the online payment methods to submit your application. 
• Take a printout of the acknowledgement slip for future reference.

IBPS SO Eligibility 2024 

Before filling the IBPS SO application form, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility specified by IBPS in the official notification. The IBPS SO eligibility does not typically change every year. However, any changes in the eligibility requirements will be provided in this article. The IBPS SO eligibility is given below.

IBPS SO Eligibility 2024 - Nationality 

To apply for IBPS SO Exam 2024, a candidate must be either -

(i) a Citizen of India or

(ii) a subject of Nepal or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan or

(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Note: A candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall provide a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India

IBPS SO Admit Card 2024 

IBPS SO admit card 2024 will be released at the official website - ibps.in a few days before the exam. The admit card is released separately for each stage. IBPS SO admit card is an essential document that the candidates are required to carry on the day of the exam. Without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.

The admit card can be downloaded by logging into the candidate portal. It contains details such as the name of the candidate, registration number, date and time of exam, details of the exam centre and other information.

The results for IBPS SO Prelims exam and IBPS SO Main exam are released separately by the exam-conducting authority. To access the results, candidates need to enter their credentials including registration number and password in the result login window.
