SBI PO 2025: The State Bank of India conducts the SBI PO exam every year. This is one of the most sought-after PO exams held in the country, and it is taken by nearly 10 lakh candidates every year. The SBI has released the official notification 2025 for Probationary Officers at sbi.co.in. A total of 541 vacancies have been released by the bank. SBI PO Mains result 2025 has been declared on November 6, 2025, in online mode. The result PDF is now available for download at sbi.co.in. 

The SBI PO mains exam was conducted on September 13, 2025. The prelims exam was scheduled to be held on August 2, 4, and 5, 2025. The SBI PO Prelims Result 2025 was released on September 1, 2025, on the bank's official website. This year, SBI has come up with a total of 541 vacancies for Probationary Officer (PO) posts, for which around 6,57,850 candidates have submitted their applications.

The State Bank of India conducts the SBI PO exam to select eligible candidates for the post of Probationary Officer. Aspirants who are between 21 and 30 years of age are eligible to apply for the exam. Aspirants who wish to join the post of Probationary Officer in the State Bank of India must meet the SBI PO Eligibility criteria to appear for the exam. The basic eligibility to apply for the PO exam is to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institute. SBI PO Eligibility Criteria 2025

SBI PO Application Form 2025

State Bank of India is yet to release the application details for SBI PO exam. Once released, candidates will be able to download and register for the exam online. Check how to register for SBI PO 2025 below: 

• Candidates are required to visit the official website of SBI and click on the PO tab
• After clicking on ‘apply’, candidates will be redirected to the registration page
• Candidates are required to provide their personal details and submit the information
• After completion of the registration process, a registration id along with a password will be sent to the candidates’ registered email address and phone number.
• Candidates are required to keep an email ID that will be used for the registration process for the SBI PO examinations.

SBI PO Login

• Candidates are required to log in with the credentials sent to their registered email address and phone number
• Applicants are then required to upload a scanned image of their passport-size photograph (size- 20kb to 50kb) and signature (10kb to 20kb) in JPEG format.
• After this, candidates will be required to verify the details and preview the application form carefully.
• The final step to complete the process is the submission of the application fee online

SBI PO Application Fees 2025

The SBI PO has a category-wise online application fee structure. Once the amount is paid, it cannot be refunded nor can it be used for any other examination or selection process fee. Applicants must know that registration for the exam does not guarantee any employment opportunity at the concerned organization. Further, the application must be paid online and candidates must have knowledge of the SBI PO application process before applying.

SBI PO Admit Card 2025

Three separate admit cards will be released for the Prelims, Mains, and Interview rounds of the SBI PO Exam. The SBI PO Admit Card can be downloaded from the official website of SBI by logging in using your credentials. For the year 2025, the admit card will be issued to the registered candidates a few days prior to the exam date. 

The admit card for the exam is a very important document for a candidate. Students appearing for the exam are advised to keep their admit card handy as it is one of the most essential documents. SBI PO Exam Pattern 2025

The SBI PO examination comprises three phases: prelims, mains, and an interview round which are followed by a group discussion. 

SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern

This exam is conducted online. Candidates are required to solve a test paper with a maximum mark of 100 consisting of the following sections: 

• English Language
• Numerical Ability
• Reasoning Ability

Note- 0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate. If a candidate skips a question or leaves it blank, there will be no deduction.

SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern 

The SBI PO mains examination consists of two rounds. They are as follows:

Objective section- This section has a weightage of 200 marks. Candidates need to finish all 4 sections in a duration of 3 hours. 

Descriptive section- This test consists of two questions for 50 marks and needs to be answered within a duration of 30 minutes.

SBI PO Group Discussion and Personal Interview- This is the final round of the SBI PO exam. In this round, shortlisted candidates will appear for an interview session along with a group discussion round. The group discussion carries 20 marks while the interview carries 30 marks. This round plays a pivotal role in deciding the final recruitment of the candidate.

SBI PO Result 2025

The SBI PO result for the mains exam was declared on November 6, 2025 by the conducting body, the State Bank of India, on its official website. Candidates can check their results by using their login credentials. SBI will release a round-by-round cut-off list for the tests that will be conducted, and candidates can check the minimum passing score by visiting the official website.

The SBI PO exam cut-off marks will be released on the official portal by SBI after the completion of prelims, mains, and the interview round. SBI PO Selection Process 2025

The SBI PO selection process consists of three rounds: prelims, mains, and interview round. Candidates who have cleared all three rounds are shortlisted for the further recruitment process. Shortlisting of candidates is done through the merit list which is drawn on the basis of the candidate’s aggregate performance in the qualifying examinations

SBI PO Prelims

• The first round of the selection process is to determine the general aptitude of the candidate.
• The objective rounds last 60 minutes.
• The exam consists of the following 3 sections: English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude.
• The overall cut-off will be released by the bank once all the 3 rounds are successfully completed
• Candidates numbering 10 times the number of vacancies (approx.) in each category will be shortlisted for main exams from the top of the merit list.

SBI PO Mains

• Only candidates who have qualified in the preliminary round of the SBI PO are eligible for the mains round
• This round consists of an objective and a descriptive test
• The exam consists of the following 4 sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning & Computers, and General/Economy/Banking Awareness
• Based on the aggregate marks scored in the Main Examination and SBI PO Interview, the final merit list will be prepared
• From the top of the category-wise merit list, candidates up to three times (roughly) the number of openings will be shortlisted for the group exercise and interview, provided they achieve the minimum aggregate qualifying score
