IBPS PO Result 2026: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will announce the IBPS Probationary Officer (PO) Final 2026 results on the official website, ibps.in. The IBPS PO Final result 2026 will be made available to download once the prelims examination is conducted in August 2026. Candidates will be able to access their mains and interview combined result by entering their login credentials such as the registration number/roll number and date of birth/password. The IBPS PO final result 2026 will be prepared on the basis of candidates' mains and interview performance. 

The IBPS PO Mains exam will be tentatively held in October 2026 for candidates who have cleared the preliminary level examination. The final result for the IBPS PO exam is prepared on the basis of vacancies and IBPS PO cut-off scores. The official IBPS PO website publishes the final merit list after the release of results. To download the scorecard, candidates will have to log in to the portal by entering their respective registration numbers and passwords. The exam authority will take around 20-25 days to prepare the results. The results for prelims, mains and interview is released separately. The IBPS PO examination for the prelims round will be conducted in August 2026.

IBPS PO Result 2026: Provisional Allotment

The IBPS PO Final result 2026 will be officially declared by exam conducting body in January 2027 at the IBPS website - ibps.in. The Final selection is done on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the Mains exam and Interview, with the weightage 80:20, respectively. The allotment to different participating banks is done based on merit and final vacancies. 

IBPS PO Mains Result 2026

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will tentatively announce the main examination results for the IBPS PO exam 2026 in December 2026. The IBPS PO Mains exam 2026 will be conducted on October 2026. The IBPS PO Result PDF is released at ibps.in. In the last exam cycle, the IBPS PO result was out on January 31, 2026.

This is the second round of the examination and comprises two additional sections. For this round, candidates will have to prepare for a total of five sections, which are: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language & Descriptive Test, and  Data Analysis & Interpretation. The descriptive section will cover questions from essay and letter writing. This round carries 225 marks, and candidates scoring the minimum qualifying marks will be eligible for the interview round. 

IBPS PO Prelims Result 2026

The IBPS announced the preliminary examination results for Probationary Officers for the last year's cycle on September 26, 2026. Last year, The IBPS PO Prelims exam 2026 was conducted on August 17, 23 and 24, 2026. This round comprises three sections, which are: English Language, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. Further, this round carries 100 marks, and as it is a qualifying examination, candidates who clear it move on to appear for the main examination. The Prelims result is not considered for the final IBPS provisional allotment list. The formula to calculate the score for Prelims is: Total Score = Score obtained in English Language + Reasoning Ability + Quantitative Aptitude. The IBPS PO prelims result for the 2024 session was declared on November 21, 2024.

IBPS PO Interview Result 2026

The IBPS PO interview call letter will be released on the official website of IBPS. It is announced along with the provisional allotment list. The interview carries 100 marks and will carry 20% weightage in the final result. After the interview round ends, provisional allotment will be done as per the vacancies in different banks.

The IBPS PO scorecard is made public a few days after the results are announced. Within the time frame provided by IBPS, candidates can download their scorecards. IBPS PO Result 2026: Score Calculation

The calculation of IBPS PO scores follows these steps:

1. The scores obtained by each candidate in various exam sessions are normalised using the equi-percentile method.
2. For calculation purposes, scores are rounded to two decimal points.

Firstly, the scores obtained by each candidate in different sessions of the examination are normalised. This normalisation process takes into account the variation in difficulty levels across different sessions to ensure fairness and comparability among candidates.

During normalisation, the equi-percentile method is employed. This method aligns the scores of candidates based on the relative performance of individuals in their respective sessions. It ensures that candidates with similar percentile ranks across different sessions are assigned comparable scores.

Furthermore, to facilitate accurate calculations and precision, the scores are considered up to two decimal points. This level of granularity allows for a more precise evaluation of candidates' performance in the examination.

IBPS PO Result 2026: Marking scheme

The IBPS PO result is calculated using a specific marking scheme set by the exam authority. Check the details below:

• Each correct answer gets one mark, which adds to the candidate's score.
• However, for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted from the candidate's score.
• The final score is calculated by considering the total number of correct and incorrect answers given by the candidate.

IBPS PO Tie-Breaking Policy

If two or more candidates acquire the same score, the merit is decided based on the date of birth. Candidates who are older in age are given preference over younger candidates. For instance, a 30-year-old candidate who scored the same as a 25-year-old candidate will be prioritised due to his age. 

IBPS PO Nominalisation Process

IBPS PO examination is conducted in different slots, and the normalisation of candidates’ scores is a key factor in delivering a fair result. The difficulty level of these slots can differ from one another, and the cutoff of the different slots may also vary. Hence, to ensure this difference does not affect the final selection of the applicants, IBPS PO normalisation is done. 

The main aim of this process is to make sure that a fair evaluation is done across all the slots. This is done by using the equi-percentile method.
