IIT Madras Placements 2024: Highest Package, and Average CTC

Indian Institute of Technology Madras Placement 2024:  The placement drive at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras witnessed a significant turnout, with 1722 participants in the last year. The drive resulted in an impressive 1612 offers from over 480 companies. Notably, 407 students secured pre-placement offers, while 25 candidates were fortunate to receive salary packages exceeding INR 1 Crore Per Annum (CPA). Additionally, four major companies extended 15 international offers during the placement process.

The campus recruitment showcased the institute's strong industry connections, with prominent companies such as Texas Instruments, Bajaj Auto Ltd, Cetak Ltd, Qualcomm, Amazon, EY India, Reliance, TCS, and others being among the top recruiters. The students at IIT Madras had a diverse array of job opportunities, including roles like Software Development Engineer, Data Science, Quant, Core Engineer, and more.

IIT Madras Placement 2024 Highlights

The first phase of the placement process at IIT Madras concluded on December 14, 2023 marking a significant milestone as 50% of its students secured placements on the opening day. This year witnessed a notable upswing in hiring from the core sector, along with a substantial increase in international job offers compared to the previous year. In phase I, a median salary package of Rs 19 lakh was attained. Notably, the placement data indicates that 55% of the placed students came from socially and economically challenging backgrounds.

IIT Madras Placement 2023 saw 407 pre-placement offers. Almost 25 students received packages above INR 1 crore per annum. Out of 1,722 registered students, 15 candidates got international offers.
