Established in 1854, the College Of Engineering Pune Technological University (COEP Technological University), formerly known as the College of Engineering Pune, is a unitary public university of the Government of Maharashtra. The university is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). CoEP Technological University is approved by the relevant regulatory bodies for its various programs, such as the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). COEP Technological University has secured the 73rd position in the engineering category and its overall ranking is 151th position out of 200 in India as per NIRF Ranking 2023.

COEP Technological University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees in engineering, architecture, pharmacy, hotel management, and product design. The flagship course offered at COEP Technological University is B.Tech. COEP Technological University B.Tech admission mandates a Higher Secondary certificate degree (10+2) with 45% marks (40% for Backward Class/EWS/PwD) for Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates and All India Candidature Candidates. Admission to B.Tech. programs are solely based on the MH-CET/JEE Main score. The total number of students admitted by COEP Technological University for 2022-23 under the PG program was 2976. 

The tuition fee for B.Tech. program is INR 15,000 per semester for the Open Category, INR 15,000 per semester for J&K/North East/Union Territory, and INR 7,500 per semester for the EBC & EWS category. For the SC/ST/OBC/VJNT category tuition fees are waived.
