DRDO Recruitment Application 2023: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is currently inviting registrations for several vacancies in positions such as Apprentice, Consultant, and Scientist-B. Each position has a different application process and candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria for the position to which they wish to apply. 

The DRDO Apprenticeship application forms have been released on June 13, 2023. The registration process for the apprentice post will go on till June 28, 2023. The apprentice position is a one-year contractual position open to Indian citizens for the time period of 2023-2024. Candidates who have completed their graduation, diploma, or industrial training in engineering and technical courses are eligible to apply for the apprentice position at DRDO. The Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) of DRDO will also be opening applications for the Scientist ‘B’ position. The closing date for the Scientist ‘B’ registration process is 21 days from the date of the activation of the online application link. DRDO Recruitment Application 2023

The online application form for DRDO Scientist ‘B’ positions will be available soon on the official website of the Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) of DRDO. Candidates who are appearing or have appeared for the final examination of their educational degree can apply for the post of Scientist ‘B’ in Level-10 of the 7th Pay Commission (INR 56,100) in specific disciplines. The DRDO Scientist ‘B’ salary including House Rent Allowance and other allowances will be around  INR 1,00,000 per month according to the current metro city rate.

There are 62 posts vacant for the DRDO apprentice position according to the recent advertisement on DRDO official website. To be eligible for applying to the DRDO apprentice positions, candidates are required to have graduated from an Indian Institution that is recognized by their respective statutory authorities. Candidates with postgraduate qualifications are not eligible to register for the apprentice post at DRDO. Candidates who have already gone through the apprenticeship training or are presently going through apprenticeship training are not eligible to apply for apprenticeship at DRDO.

Steps to Apply for DRDO Apprenticeship

Candidates aspiring for the apprenticeship post at DRDO can apply for it by visiting the official website of DRDO and downloading the application form from the DRDO website. Before filling out the application form, candidates need to check the eligibility criteria for the apprenticeship position at DRDO. The steps to apply for the apprentice post are given below : 

Step 1: Candidates firstly need to register at the respective portals according to their educational qualifications. 

Step 2: Candidates who have B.Tech./B.E./Diploma qualifications need to register on the official website of the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) http://www.mhrdnats.gov.in/

Step 3: Candidates who have ITI qualifications need to register on the official website of the Apprenticeship Training Portal http://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/

Step 4: Aspirants need to visit the official website of DRDO and go to the Careers page

Step 5: Download the Advertisement cum Application Form next to the Apprenticeship notification

Step 5: In the downloaded document, the application form is given in the Annexure-A section

Step 6: Fill the application form fields with accurate information 

Step 7: Upload scanned copies of all the mandatory documents

Documents Required for DRDO Apprenticeship Application

Aspirants need to submit certain documents along with the application form while applying for the DRDO apprenticeship position. The following documents are required with the application form : 

• Class 10 Marksheet and Certificate
• Marksheets of B.E./B.Tech/Diploma/ITI for all semesters
• Certificates of Degree/Provisional Degree/Diploma or ITI Certificate
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• PWD Certificate (if applicable)
• Photo identity card issued by the Government of India such as PAN card, Voter card, Driving License
• Copy of Bank Pass Book and Aadhaar Card
• EWS Certificate (if applicable)

In order to apply for the DRDO Scientist ‘B’ position, candidates are required to visit the official website of RAC (Recruitment and Assessment Centre) of DRDO and fill out the online application form. Candidates need to upload the essential documents and pay the application fee.  DRDO Scientist ‘B’ Application Fee

There is no application fee for female candidates and aspirants of SC/ST and PWD categories. However, General, OBC, and EWS male candidates are required to pay an application fee of INR 100.
