DRDO Recruitment Eligibility 2023: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) releases the eligibility criteria for various posts. Before applying for the DRDO positions, candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria to know if they can register for the post.

Recently, DRDO has released the applications for the apprentice position on June 13, 2023. The last date to apply for the DRDO apprentice post is June 28, 2023. DRDO also conducts the CEPTAM (Centre for Personnel Talent Management) examination for recruitment to Technical Cadre and Admin & Allied positions. 

Meanwhile, the DRDO registration process has started for the Scientist B positions. In order to apply for the Scientist B position, candidates have to apply online at the DRDO RAC (Recruitment and Assessment Centre) website. On the other hand, for apprentice posts, candidates need to submit the scanned copy of their application form to the email address: admin.dept.nstl@gov.in

DRDO Recruitment Eligibility 2023

DRDO conducts the recruitment process for Admin and Allied (A&A) posts and Technical Cadre(DRTC) through the CEPTAM (Centre for Personnel Talent Management) exam. Candidates need to check the CEPTAM eligibility criteria in order to apply for the exam.

For DRDO Scientist ‘B’ positions, candidates need a first class B.E./B. Tech or M.Sc degree in the respective subject or discipline and a valid GATE score. For DRTC posts, candidates are required to B.Sc or Diploma qualification in the specific discipline.

  • Candidates with more than one-year of work experience are not eligible to apply for the position.  
  • Applicants should be at least 18 years old on the last date of registration.
  • The selection process of the eligible candidates is based on academic merit, written test and interview. 

DRDO Scientist ‘B’ Eligibility

Candidates who have Bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology or a Master’s degree in Science from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the Scientist ‘B’ post at DRDO. Further, candidates also need to have a valid GATE score to be eligible to register for the position.

Age Limit

There is an age limit for candidates seeking to apply for the DRDO Scientist B position. For General/EWS category candidates, the age limit is 28 years. For OBC candidates (non-creamy layer), the age limit is 31 years. For candidates of the SC/ST category, the age limit for applying to the Scientist ‘B’ post is 33 years.
