In the XAT exam 2026, every correct response is given 1 mark, and 0.25 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. If there are more than 8 unattempted questions, there is a negative marking of 0.10 mark for each unanswered question. XAT exam score is calculated by adding the scores of all 3 sections which include verbal and logical ability, data interpretation, quantitative ability, decision-making ability, and general awareness.

XAT Result 2026: How to Calculate XAT Score? 

As per the XAT marking scheme, 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer and 0.25 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. If a candidate has not answered more than 8 questions, 0.10 mark will be deducted for each unanswered question. XAT results will be based on the marking scheme given in the table below.
