CLAT Result 2026: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has announced the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 result on December 16, on its official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The direct link to access results for the CLAT exam 2026 has been available on the official website. Aspirants can also download their scorecard PDF containing individual scores of candidates.

The consortium conducted the CLAT 2026 exam on December 7, 2025, across 156 centres in 25 States, 93 cities, and four Union Territories. For CLAT 2026, a total of 92,344 candidates applied for the examination. Among them, 75,009 candidates registered for the Undergraduate (UG) programme, while 17,335 candidates applied for the Postgraduate (PG) programme. 

The CLAT 2026 result provides information about the candidate's sectional and overall scores, as well as their merit rank determined by how well they performed in the CLAT exam. The authorities will also release a merit list along with an invite list. The registration for CLAT Counselling 2026 will commence after the release of the CLAT Result 2026. The CLAT 2026 exam recorded a significant turnout, with 96.83% of Undergraduate applicants and 92.45% of Postgraduate applicants appearing for the test, which is a testament to the growing aspiration among students to secure admission to India’s premier National Law Universities. When the results are out, registered students can follow the steps mentioned below to check the CLAT result 2026.

  • Visit the Consortium of NLUs website, which is the official site for CLAT
  • Select the "CLAT Result" option on the main page
  • Once students select the check result option, they will be asked to enter their login credentials to access the result
  • After they have logged in, the CLAT scorecard will be displayed on the web page
  • It is advisable to download the scorecard as it would come of use at the time of the admissions

The result for CLAT 2026 will be made available to the candidates in the form of a scorecard. For the reference of students, the table shows the details mentioned on the CLAT scorecard. Contact the exam authorities if any information is missing or if any personal details are incorrect.

The total scores attained by candidates in the exam will be used to create the CLAT merit list. The CLAT Consortium will separately release the merit lists for UG and PG courses. A student who receives greater marks will therefore be granted a higher rank on the merit list. Students who are mentioned in this list will be eligible to participate in the counselling round. The list will include the ranks and scores of various students.

Tie-Breaking for UG

  • Applicants with higher marks in the Legal Aptitude section would be given priority
  • If that does not solve the problem, students of higher age would be given priority
  • If these factors do not solve the matter, a computerised draw of lots would be conducted

Tie-Breaking for PG

There will be no comparison of sectional marks in case students attain equal marks in PG courses. The policy will include-

  • Students of greater age will be given priority
  • If that does not break the tie, a computerised draw of lots will be held

The Consortium of NLUs released the revised CLAT 2025 result on May 17, 2025. The official authorities earlier released the final answer key and result on December 8, 2024.
