Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala (RGNUL): RGNUL was established in 2006 under the State Legislature of Punjab to meet the demand for a National level Law University in the state of Punjab. RGNUL fulfills the need for a modern legal education in the contemporary globalized world. Approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and registered under the University Grants Commission (UGC) has been ranked 24th in the law rankings by the NIRF Rankings 2024.
Located in a serene 50 acre campus in Patiala, RGNUL has a modern campus equipped with an Administrative and Academic Block, a Library, an Auditorium, a Sports Complex, separate Boys and Girls Hostels, a Guest House, a Community Hall, a Health Centre, residential quarters, a Stadium, a Gymnasium, and a Canteen area.
RGNUL is operated as a residential university where accommodations are provided for all students in hostels designed specifically for boys and girls. Contemporary amenities, including air conditioning in every room, are offered in the hostels. The air-conditioned university library at RGNUL is an example of excellence, with an extensive collection of over 39,000 volumes housed within its walls, encompassing a wide range of legal resources in both print and digital formats, with subscriptions to 109 periodicals maintained to enhance its academic offerings.
