The counselling process for CLAT 2023 is currently ongoing. The conducting body has recently released the CLAT 4th Provisional Allotment list on its official website. Earlier, the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st Provisional Allotment lists were released on the online portal. The Direct link for these lists is available in this article.
CLAT Counselling 2024: The counselling round is conducted after the result has been declared. Once the result will be announced for CLAT 2024, students will be divided into a merit and invite list according to their performance in the exam. Both will be eligible to register for the CLAT counselling 2024 by paying the required fee. First, students on the merit list will be called for the counselling session wherein they will be assigned a course and a college. If the seats remain, candidates in the invite list may also be called for the same.
The CLAT 2023 counselling has already started and the exam result for the same was announced on 23rd December 2022. Whereas the counselling registration was started on 28th December 2022, soon after the result was announced, and the last date to register was 12th January 2023. It is essential that eligible students successfully register for the counselling round as they would not be called for it if they fail to register. For the year 2023, counselling is being conducted in different rounds in the form of seat allotment lists.

CLAT counselling 2024
The counselling functions on the following rounds: Registration, CLAT Result, and Seat Allotment. The shortlisted students will need to accept the given seat and college or exist it so that the next candidate in line can be called for the same. In line with recent developments, the CLAT 2024 counselling process will be performed in five rounds until all of the participating NLUs' seats are occupied.

CLAT counselling 2024: Registration
Before the eligible students get to participate in the counselling round, they will need to register for it by paying a sum of fees. Each of the shortlisted candidates will be given the invitation to register on the official NLU website. Five college preferences are will be available at the time of registration. Note that after the deadline for CLAT counselling registration, candidates won't be able to make any modifications. Only applicants that take part in CLAT Counselling 2023 will be considered eligible for the seat allocation process.
How to register for the counselling process?
After the declaration of the result, students must check their scorecards and eligible students will be asked to register for the counselling process based on the merit and invite lists. Furthermore, they will be asked to select any 5 NLUs according to their preference. The candidate's rank and test scores will be taken into account while considering their preferences at the time of counselling. After students will be done selecting their preferred choices, they will be asked to pay the fee after which the registration will be completed. The entire process will be done on the official website only.
CLAT Counselling Registration Fee
As discussed earlier, students will need to pay a counselling registration fee which will be INR 50,000. A candidate will be given a total reimbursement of Rs. 50,000 without any deductions if they are unsuccessful in getting a seat in any of the NLUs. While a candidate would only receive a partial refund of Rs. 40,000 if they decide to withdraw from the CLAT Counselling Process or do not accept any of the seats given in any of the three lists announced by the Consortium. Additionally, only Rs. 40,000 would be returned if a candidate proves to be ineligible based on the documents or information they have submitted.
CLAT counselling 2024: Seat Allotment
After the merit list has been declared, the seat allotment process will begin. For the year 2023, there will be a total of 5 seat allotment rounds. Check below to know the dates for the same.
