IIM Mumbai (NITIE) Admission 2024: Dates, Courses, Eligibility and Selection Criteria

IIM Mumbai Admissions 2024: The admission to Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai is based on scores obtained by individuals in the Common Admission Test (CAT), followed by a personal interview round conducted by the institution. The final admission is granted on the basis of CAT score, performance in the personal interview round, and the category-specific reservation. The institution releases a final admission list on the basis of overall performance integrating academics and relevant work experience of the students that have appeared for the interview round held. 

The overall CAT percentile during 2024 admission stood at 85 for the general category. The marks allotment is done on various parameters giving a weightage of 55 marks to the CAT score, 20 marks to personal interview, 20 marks to academic performance/work experience, and 5 marks are reserved for gender-based diversity. Based on these parameters students are given marks out of 100.

Admission to diverse courses offered by IIM Mumbai (NITIE) is based on the score of the CAT entrance exam, whereas admission to PGDEX-VLFM is based on the aptitude test conducted by the institution and exams like GATE/CAT/GMAT/ GRE/UGC-JRF and NITIE Admission Test and Writing Skills test are valid for Fellow program in management offered by the institution.

IIM Mumbai Admissions 2024: Courses Offered

Masters in Business Administration is offered at IIM Mumbai as its flagship course. Courses at doctoral and PhD levels are also offered by the institution. The fee for the PGPEx-VLFM diploma is Rs 11,07,000 payable at IIM Mumbai. Tabulated below are the courses offered at the institution.

1. MBA General

Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) or equivalent, along with a Common Admission Test (CAT) score.

2. MBA (Operations and Supply Chain Management)

Full-time Engineering/Technology degree in any branch from a recognized university/institution with aggregate 50% marks (relaxed by 5% for SC/ST/PwD candidates). OR Full-time degree from a recognized university with aggregate 50% marks (relaxed by 5% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) in the following disciplines.

• M.Sc. (Mathematics)
• M. Sc. (Statistics)
• Dual Degree (Maths and Computing) Minimum 5 yrs.
• BS./B. Tech (Economics) Minimum 4 yrs.

3. MBA (Sustainability Management)

Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) or equivalent, along with a Common Admission Test (CAT) score.

4. Doctoral Level Fellowship Program

Equivalent to a PhD, it prepares individuals for careers in academia, research, business, and consulting, covering Management, Ergonomics, and Environmental Management.

5. PGDEx–VLFM (Visionary Leaders For Manufacturing)

 A one-year executive diploma program in partnership with IIT Delhi, grooming leaders for mid and senior-level managerial roles, focusing on areas like Operations & Supply Chain Management, Strategic Planning, and Digital transformation. 

Eligibility Criteria:

• Recognized first-class full-time bachelor's degree in a technological discipline (B.E. or B.Tech.)
• 4 to 10 years of full-time industrial experience in areas like manufacturing, operations, or consulting at the time of application submission

6. General Management Programme (GMP)

Designed for Defence Officers in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence, this six-month program equips them with techno-managerial skills for corporate leadership. IIM Mumbai (NITIE) will be starting its first batch soon.
