Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Surat: The Indian Institute of Information Technology are a relatively new group of Institutions, specializing in Communication Technology, Web development, coding etc. They were formulated by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development under the Public-private Partnership (PPP), in 2014. 

IIIT Surat is one of the 20 IIITs established throughout the country, regarded as an institute of National importance, IIIT Surat came into existence in 2017 after a memorandum was signed between the President of India, the Governor of Gujarat and the Industry partners (Gujarat Narmada valley Fertilizer and Chemicals (GNFC), Gujarat Informatics Limited (GIL) and Gujarat Gas Limited). The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Surat is functioning from its permanent campus of almost 30 acres located in Khovlad, Surat.

IIIT Surat offers B. Tech. degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science Engineering. To get admitted to these programs, candidates must qualify for the JEE Main exam. The PhD program began in the 2022-23 academic year. Admissions to the institute are handled by the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), both part of the Government of India.

IIIT Surat Admissions 2025

The Indian Institute of Information and technology, Surat admissions are based on the JEE Main Score of the candidate. It follows the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) norms for the allotment of seats. 

Candidates must register themselves for the JoSAA/ CSAB counseling to take admissions in IIIT Surat and other IIITs. 

The JEE Main registration for both sessions is now closed. Session 2 exams will be held from April 1 to April 8, 2025.
