Academy of Technology (AOT) was established in 2003 by Prof. Jagannath Banerjee, an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta, AOT is one of West Bengal’s most reputed self-financed engineering colleges. Guided by Prof. Anindita Banerjee, the current Chairman Trustee, AOT focuses on creating skilled, confident, and industry-ready professionals. The institute is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), and students receive a MAKAUT degree upon course completion. The college offers two programs B.Tech at the undergraduate level and MCA at the postgraduate level. 

Strategically located just off G.T. Road, AOT enjoys excellent connectivity through both rail and road networks, making it easily accessible from Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, and North Kolkata. Local train and bus routes connect students from a 15 km to 60 km radius, allowing them to reach campus within 30 minutes to 2 hours. This makes it ideal for day scholars as well.
