West Bengal HS Exam 2025: Dates, Admit Card, Pattern & Syllabus

WBCHSE HS Exam 2025: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) concluded the West Bengal class 12 exams on March 18, 2025. As per the given details, the WB HS exams were conducted between March 3 and 18, 2025. The board officials conducted the annual board exams from 10 am to 1.15 pm in pen-paper mode at 2,089 examination centres.

As per WBCHSE officials, over 5 lakh candidates, most of them girls, appeared for the West Bengal Higher Secondary (HS) exams, which began on March 3, 2025. Last year, 7.9 lakh candidates took the Class 12 examinations, but this year, only 5.09 lakh candidates appeared. The West Bengal board officials issued the WB HS admit cards on February 7, 2025 in online mode.

The West Bengal Council will release the WB HS results 2025 in online mode. It is expected that the WB HS results will be released in May 2025. Students can check and download their marksheets by entering their roll number and date of birth. Last year, the results were announced on May 8 at wbresults.nic.in.

Latest Updates:

• The WBCHSE has made some minor changes in the syllabus of the WB class 12th subjects.
• The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) introduced a semester system for Class 11 from the academic session 2024-25. The change in Class 11 exams will come into effect from the upcoming academic session. However, a similar change for Class 12 exams will be brought in from the 2025-26 academic session.

WB HS Admit Card 2025

The WBCHSE also issues the WBCHSE class 12 admit card for the candidates appearing for the class 12 examinations. Students must note that only school authorities can download the admit card and later distribute the hall tickets among the students. Once the candidates have their WBCHSE class 12 admit card, then they can check the important details mentioned on the West Bengal class 12 admit card. Since the hall ticket is an essential document for a candidate, it consists of the candidate’s important information including their name, roll number, and others. Candidates are advised to carry the WBCHSE class 12 admit card while entering the exam hall or else the candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.

The WBCHSE class 12 syllabus is released by the West Bengal Board officials in online mode. Candidates can download the subject-wise syllabus pdfs through the official website in the form of the PDF. 

WBCHSE Class 12 Exam Pattern 2025

Apart from studying the syllabus, candidates should also study the WB HS exam pattern 2025. The exam pattern is an essential part for candidates who are appearing for the exam. The main objective of the WBCHSE class 12 exam pattern is to shed light on topics such as the duration of the exam, whether the exam has negative marking, and others. 

As per the exam conducting body, the WBCHSE class 12 exam is held for 3 hours and 15 minutes. Further, there is no negative marking in the examination and the exam will be held in offline mode. Apart from checking the exam pattern, candidates should also check the WBCHSE class 12 marking scheme.
