West Bengal HS Exam 2026: Result (OUT), Marksheet, Pass Percentage

WBCHSE HS Exam 2026: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has released the WB HS Results 2026 in online mode. The WBCHSE 12th Result 2026 has been announced on May 14, 2026, at 10:30 AM, via a press conference. The direct link to download the WBCHSE HS result 2026 is now activated on the official website of the board - wbchse.wb.gov.in. Students can also check their WBCHSE HS 12th Result 2026 from IE Education's page. Students can check and download their marksheets by entering their roll number and date of birth.

Last year, the WBCHSE HS exam result was declared on May 7 at 12:30 PM; however, the result link was activated at 2 PM. The West Bengal Council conducted the WB class 12 exams (Semester 4) from February 12 to February 27, 2026. The board successfully conducted the WB Board HS Semester 3 from September 8 to 22, 2025. The WB Board HS Semester 3 result was declared on October 31 at 12:30 PM. The result link was activated at 2 PM.

The WBCHSE has adopted the semester system fully starting from the academic year 2025-26. The WBCHSE HS exam of March in the last academic year was the last annual exam of the board. From this academic year, there will be four semesters at the Higher Secondary Level. Semester 1 & 3 will be MCQ-based to promote holistic thinking and reasoning) while Semester 2 & 4 will have SAQ + DQ to retain writing abilities. Chiranjib Bhattacharya stated Bengal is the first state to fully adapt this system at the plus two level.

• As per last year's trends, the board will release the WBCHSE 12th Result 2026 for Semester 4 in May 2026.
• The exams for Semester 4 were conducted from February 12 to February 27, 2026.
• The board has revised the admit card release date to January 28, 2026 (earlier scheduled to be released on January 21). School authorities can download the admit card for Class 12 students.
• WBCHSE Class 12 Semester 3 result 2025 was announced on October 31, 2025 at 12:30 PM.
• About 6.6 lakh students appeared for the first day of WBCHSE HS 3rd semester exams for the first time. About 56.03 percent of the total students appeared for the class 12 exams were girls. 
• WB Board HS Semester 3 exam dates - September 8 to 22 (Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes per paper, except for visual arts, music, and vocational subjects)

West Bengal Board Class 12 Result 2026

The West Bengal Council has released the WB HS results 2026 on May 14, 2026 in online mode. The direct link to download the WBCHSE HS result 2026 will be activated on the official website of the board. Students can check the results by using their WBCHSE Class 12 roll number and date of birth in the result login window. Last year, the WBCHSE HS result released on May 7.

Here are the steps through which candidates can check their results from the official website. 

Step 1: Candidates need to go to the official website, wbchse.wb.gov.in

Step 2: On the homepage, candidates need to find the link that reads ‘WBCHSE HS Result 2026’

Step 3: Now, a new page will open, which will ask the candidates to enter their roll number and DOB 

Step 4: Once entered, candidates need to click on enter 

Step 5: The WBCHSE Class 12 results 2026 will be displayed on the screen. 

Step 6: Download the results and keep a hard copy of them for future use.

WB Board HS Exam Routine 2026 - Semester III

Note: The time and duration for the exams are 10:00 am to 11:15 am (01 hour 15 minutes) However, for VisualArts, Music and Vocational Subjects for which time will be from 10:00 am to 10.45 am (45 minutes).

WBCHSE HS Exam Routine 2026 - Semester IV

The West Bengal Board HS Exam 2026 time table (Semester 4) is as tabulated below:

Note: Students appearing for the upcoming board exam must know that the above exams will be conducted from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon (02 hours). However, the time and duration for all Vocational Subjects, Visual Arts and Music will be from 10:00 am to 11.15 am (01 hour 15 minutes).

WB HS Admit Card 2026

The WBCHSE also issues the WBCHSE class 12 admit card for the candidates appearing for the class 12 examinations. Students must note that only school authorities can download the admit card and later distribute the hall tickets among the students. Once the candidates have their WBCHSE class 12 admit card, then they can check the important details mentioned on the West Bengal class 12 admit card. Since the hall ticket is an essential document for a candidate, it consists of the candidate’s important information including their name, roll number, and others.

Candidates are advised to carry the WBCHSE class 12 admit card while entering the exam hall or else the candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. Last year, the West Bengal board officials issued the WB HS admit cards on February 7, 2025 in online mode.

WBCHSE Class 12 Syllabus 2026

The WBCHSE class 12 syllabus is released by the West Bengal Board officials in online mode. Candidates can download the subject-wise syllabus pdfs through the official website in the form of the PDF. The syllabus PDFs will be available in the latest notification section of the official website. 

WBCHSE HS Exam Pattern 2026

Apart from studying the syllabus, candidates should also study the WB HS exam pattern 2026. The exam pattern is an essential part for candidates who are appearing for the exam. The main objective of the WBCHSE class 12 exam pattern is to shed light on topics such as the duration of the exam, whether the exam has negative marking, and others. 

As per the exam conducting body, the WBCHSE class 12 exam is held for 3 hours and 15 minutes. Further, there is no negative marking in the examination and the exam will be held in offline mode. Apart from checking the exam pattern, candidates should also check the WBCHSE class 12 marking scheme.
