West Bengal HS Exam 2026: Date, Admit Card, Pattern, Syllabus

WBCHSE HS Exam 2026: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) will conduct the West Bengal class 12 exams (Semester 4) from February 12, 2026. As per the given details, the WB HS exams 2026 will be held between February 12 and 27, 2026. The board successfully conducted WB Board HS Semester 3. The WBCHSE Semester 3 exams were scheduled from September 8 to 22, 2025. The WB Board HS Semester 3 result was declared on October 31, 2025 at 12:30 PM. The result link was activated at 2 PM.

The WBCHSE adopts semester system fully starting from academic year 2025-26. The WBCHSE HS exam of March 2025 was the last annual exam of the board. There will be four semesters at Higher Secondary Level. Semester 1 & 3 will be MCQ-based to promote holistic thinking and reasoning) while Semester 2 & 4 will have SAQ + DQ to retain writing abilities. Chiranjib Bhattacharya stated Bengal is the first state to fully adapt this system at the plus two level.

Students can check and download their marksheets by entering their roll number and date of birth. Last year, the WBCHSE HS exam result was declared on May 7, 2025 at 12:30 PM, however, the result link was activated at 2 PM.

Note: The time and duration for the exams are 10:00 am to 11:15 am (01 hour 15 minutes) However, for VisualArts, Music and Vocational Subjects for which time will be from 10:00 am to 10.45 am (45 minutes).

WBCHSE HS Exam Routine 2026 - Semester IV

Note: Students appearing for the upcoming board exam must know that the above exams will be conducted from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon (02 hours). However, the time and duration for all Vocational Subjects, Visual Arts and Music will be from 10:00 am to 11.15 am (01 hour 15 minutes).

WB HS Admit Card 2026

The WBCHSE also issues the WBCHSE class 12 admit card for the candidates appearing for the class 12 examinations. Students must note that only school authorities can download the admit card and later distribute the hall tickets among the students. Once the candidates have their WBCHSE class 12 admit card, then they can check the important details mentioned on the West Bengal class 12 admit card. Since the hall ticket is an essential document for a candidate, it consists of the candidate’s important information including their name, roll number, and others.

Candidates are advised to carry the WBCHSE class 12 admit card while entering the exam hall or else the candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. Last year, the West Bengal board officials issued the WB HS admit cards on February 7, 2025 in online mode.

Apart from studying the syllabus, candidates should also study the WB HS exam pattern 2026. The exam pattern is an essential part for candidates who are appearing for the exam.
