WB HS Result 2026: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) releases the results for WB HS students in online mode. The WBCHSE 12th result 2026 for semester 4 is likely to be declared in May 2026. The board will officially confirm the release of the WB HS result a few days before the result declaration. The West Bengal board officials will announce the result declaration date on their website - result.wb.gov.in.

Students will be able to check and download their WBCHSE class 12 result 2026 from the official websites - result.wb.gov.in, wbchse.wb.gov.in, once released. To download the result of the WB HS exam 2026, students need to fill out the necessary login credentials such as roll number and date of birth in the login window. Along with the announcement of the results, the board officials are expected to release the topper list of the candidates.

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) is the first state board to implement semester system in Class 11 and 12. The WBCHSE class 11 have semester 1 and 2 while class 12 have the semester 3 and 4. West Bengal HS Result 2025 for semester 3 was released on October 31, 2025 at 12:30 PM. However, the direct link was activated at 2 PM. This year, a total of 6.45 lakh students appeared in the WB HS Semester 3 exams and the overall pass percentage stood at 93.72 per cent

To check their scores, students need to type a text message in this format - WB12 (Roll number) and then send it to the given numbers - 5676750 or 58888. The WBCHSE HS scores will be displayed in the form of an SMS alert. 

Last year, the West Bengal Board Result was declared on May 7, 2025, at 12:30 PM through a press conference. The direct link to check the WB HS result was activated after 2:00 PM. The pass percentage for WBCHSE HS Result 2025 stood at 90.79%. The pass percent among male students is 92.38 per cent and among female students, it is 88.18 per cent. A total of 482,948 candidates registered for the HS exam, out of which 473,919 appeared, and 430,286 successfully passed.

Students must note that West Bengal Board followed annual examination system till the academic session 2024-25, however, from 2025-26, WBCHSE has implemented semster system and now the WB Board class 12th semester 4 result is awaited.

WB HS Result 2026 - Steps to download

Students can download the HS result 2026 from the official website, once released. Here are the steps through which candidates can check their results from the official website. 

Step 1: Candidates need to go to the official website, wbchse.wb.gov.in

Step 2: On the homepage, candidates need to find the link that reads ‘WBCHSE Class 12 results’

Step 3: Now, a new page will open which will ask the candidates to enter their roll number and DOB 

Step 4: Once entered, candidates need to click on enter 

Step 5: The WBCHSE class 12 results 2026 will be displayed on the screen. 

Step 6: Download the results and keep a hard copy of it for future use.

The WBCHSE conducts board exam twice now as from 2026, the board has implemented the semster system. The Semster 3 exam was held from September 8 to 22, 2025. The questions in semester 3 exams were of objective type. The West Bengal Board published the answer keys for the WB HS Semester 3 exam on November 11, 2025.
