RBI Assistant Exam 2024:  Reserve Bank of India conducts the competitive exam for posts of assistant at various RBI branches in India. The test is conducted in three phases: prelims, mains, and language proficiency test. RBI releases the official notification along with the number of vacancies every year. The selection of posts will be based on the country-wise competitive exams which will be held in two phases. The first phase of the exam will be Preliminary, whereas the second phase will be Mains examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

RBI Assistant Exam 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are appearing for the RBI assistant exam should check the eligibility criteria. RBI assistant exam eligibility criteria are available on the official notification. Further, the eligibility criteria basically consist of three major aspects including nationality, age and age relaxation and finally the educational qualification.  Candidates can take a look at the following eligibility criteria factors for the exam below: 

Nationality 

Candidates must be a citizen of India. Also, a candidate can be a subject of Nepal, Bhutan or Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit

Candidates should be between 20 and 28 years old. Only those candidates who are born not earlier than 02/09/1995 and not later than

01/09/2003 (both days inclusive). 

Educational Qualifications

Candidates wishing to apply for the RBI assistant exam 2023 should at least have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50 % marks.

RBI releases the application dates along with the official notification. During the RBI Assistant registration, candidates will have to fill in various details and upload the documents as asked.

RBI assistant exam syllabus is released on the official website. The syllabus is released in the pdf format. The syllabus consists of 5 different sections including English language, general awareness, quantitative aptitude, computer knowledge and reasoning. Further, these sections are divided into sub-sections which consist of topics. 

Candidates must know that the RBI assistant exam syllabus is predefined for both prelims and mains exam. Hence, the syllabus for both the exam are similar in nature.

Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of ₹20,700/- per month on the scale of ₹20700 – 1200 (3) – 24300 – 1440 (4) - 30060 – 1920 (6) – 41580 – 2080 (2) – 45740 – 2370 (3) – 52850 – 2850 (1) – 55700 and other allowances, as admissible from time to time. At present, the initial Monthly Gross Emoluments (without HRA) for the Assistant will be approximately ₹47,849/-.

NOTE: A House Rent Allowance of 15% of Pay will be paid to them, additionally, if they are not staying in the Bank’s accommodation.

The exam conducting body usually releases the RBI Assistant exam result after 1-2 weeks of the conclusion of the examination. Candidates can check the results by visiting the official website. Candidates need to use their credentials to download the result from the official webiste. 

Candidates must note that the exam conducting body releases the RBI assistant exam result separately for each stage of the examination. This means candidates will receive result separately for prelims and mains exam.
