Kashmir University Admission 2024: Kashmir University offers a wide array of courses in multiple disciplines. From basic UG and PG courses to diploma and certificate programs and PhD level courses are all offered at Kashmir University.

Admission to any of the courses is based on different national-level and university-level entrance exams. The university-level exams include KUCET while national-level exams CUET, JEE Mains, CAT, GPAT and GATE for relevant courses.

Aspiring candidates willing to take admission in Kashmir University must fulfill the basic eligibility criteria in different domains.Candidates willing to take admission in UG courses required a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the 10+2 pattern with relevant disciplines while for PG candidates must have a Bachelor's degree under the 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks with relevant subjects. However, the final selection will be on the basis of the scores of CUET or any other required selection process for respective disciplines followed by the final fee submission.

Mentioned below is the basic eligibility criteria and selection process for various UG courses in Kashmir University -

Eligibility Criteria:

• For admission to BA
• Aspiring Candidates must have passed 10+2  or equivalent from a recognized Board, with minimum 45 % aggregate marks or equivalent.

• For admission to B.Sc

• Aspiring candidates  must have completed their Class 12 in with PCB/M (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics) subjects. 

• For admission to B.Com

• Students must have completed their 12 th in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

• For admission to BA LLB

• Aspiring candidates must have passed in a 10+2 pattern with at least 45% marks in aggregate.

• For admission to B.A.(Hons)

• Aspiring candidates must have passed in a 10+2 pattern with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

• For specialization , candidates must have passed in relevant subjects.

• For admission to BDS

• Aspiring students must have passed their 10+2 with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

• For admission to BBA

• Aspiring candidates must have completed their 12 th in any discipline with minimum 50 % marks in aggregate.

• For admission to BCA

• Aspiring candidate must have completed their 12th standard with at least 50% marks from a recognised board, criteria can vary as per specification chosen

• For admission to B Arch

• Aspiring candidates must have passed in a 10+2 pattern with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

• For admission to B Pharma

• Aspiring candidates must have passed 10+2 with biology or a comparable subject with a minimum 45% in aggregate.

Mentioned below is the basic eligibility criteria and selection process for various PG courses in Kashmir University -

Eligibility Criteria 

Admission to the mentioned undergraduate programs relies on scores from the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) - PG exam. While for many courses university takes its own entrance exam named KUCET which is followed by a counseling process for the final selection.

• For admission to MA

Aspiring candidates should have completed their 3 year BA program from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in the relevant subjects. 

Criteria can vary as per the specialization in terms of must subjects. 

• For admission to M.Sc

Aspiring candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Science from a recognised college/university with minimum 50 – 60% marks. Criteria can vary as per the specialization in terms of must studied subjects. 

• For admission to M.Com

Aspiring candidates must have passed with 50% marks in aggregate in B.Com, BBA (any stream) or BA Economics from a recognized university.

• For Admission to LLM

 Aspiring candidates must hold either a 3 year LLB degree or a BA LLB /BSc LLB /BBA LLB degree of 5 years with 50-60% aggregate scores.

• For admission to MPharma

Aspiring candidates should hold a degree in (B. Pharm) or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution.

• For admission to MCA

Aspiring candidates must have 10+2 from science stream.Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in the same discipline.

Kashmir University PG Admission 2024: Selection Criteria 

Admission to the mentioned Postgraduate  programs are done on the basis of scores from the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) - PG)  exam. Many courses in Kashmir University consider the scores of a few national level entrance exams like CMAT, JEE Main, CAT, GPAT and GATE.

Kashmir University BTech Admission 2024

Eligibility Criteria - Aspiring candidates must have passed their 12 the with minimum 50 % marks in aggregate.

The subjects include Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / any technical vocational subject* as optional.

Selection Criteria - Final selection in BTech includes entrance JKCET and scores of JEE Mains.

Kashmir University MBA Admission 2024

Eligibility Criteria - Aspiring candidates must possess a  graduate degree in any discipline, with at least 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognized university. 

Criteria can vary as per the specialization in terms of must subjects.

Selection Criteria - Final selection will be based on the scores of CMAT .

Kashmir University LLB Admission 2024

Eligibility Criteria -  Aspiring candidates must have passed in a 10+2 pattern with at least 45% marks in aggregate.

Selection Criteria - Interested candidates have to appear for KUCET.

Kashmir University MTech Admission 2024

Eligibility Criteria - Aspiring candidates must have completed their  BE/BTech degree.

 Candidates are required to appear in GATE exams to  become eligible for MTech.

 Criteria can vary as per the specialization in terms of must subjects. 

Selection Criteria - Final selection includes -

1. Performance in the entrance exam. 
2. 20% weightage will be given to the Group Discussion Round.
3. Candidates must have a valid GATE score in order to be considered for admission to the M. Tech program.

Kashmir University  PhD Admission 2024

Eligibility Criteria -  Aspiring candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in any discipline with 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grades. All things being equal, students having a P.G. degree in language/ literature/linguistics shall have preference.

For any Specific Discipline , candidates must have specialization in the relevant discipline in their master’s degree. 

Selection Criteria - Final selection includes -

Appearing for a university level entrance exam .

Scoring at least 50 % marks in aggregate in entrance exams

The candidates need to give entrance exams if they have qualified UGC NET/JRF/ CSIR UGC NET/ JRF ICAR-NET/SET/GATE WOS-A/INSPIRE or equivalent exams.
