Eligibility Criteria:

The 10+2 passed science stream graduates can choose the IISER Pune BS-MS programme during their application year or in the preceding year. Students from established State and Central Boards can submit their applications. 

Selection Criteria:

IISER Pune will accept students only through the State and Central Boards Channel (SCB) starting from 2024 onward. IAT marks from the IISER Aptitude Test determine candidate selection because they need to take this examination. The admissions through KVPY and JEE Advanced phases have been suspended.

MSc Programme

Eligibility Criteria:

• A BSc degree with Chemistry as a major subject.
• The admission criterion demands a minimum mark total of 60% (reduced to 55% for students belonging to the SC, ST, or PwD categories).
• To be admitted successfully the candidate must pass JAM 2025 in Chemistry by obtaining a valid rank.
• The admission requirements include final-year bachelor degree students who must meet the stated criteria during their enrollment.

Selection Criteria:

• Shortlisting of candidates occurs by evaluating their obtained JAM 2025 rank.
• Selection occurs through the valid JAM ranks which are used to admit students during their admission period.
• A non-refundable application fee exists for all program applications although submissions must be done before the deadline.
• Each program application demands a payment that cannot be returned.

Integrated PhD Programme

Eligibility Criteria:

• An applicant needs to hold a Bachelor’s degree from any scientific discipline including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology.
• Candidates need at least 60% grading or a comparable CGPA (55% for students who belong to SC, ST or PwD categories).
• Students completing their final year of studies are welcome to submit their applications under the condition they fulfill admission criteria upon entry.
