IIM Sambalpur Admission 2024: Courses, Fees, Eligibility, Selection Process

Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur (IIM Sambalpur) Admission 2024: IIM Sambalpur was established in 2015 and is among the list of newer IIMs, called baby IIMs. The institute offers various management programs such as a 2- year MBA course, Executive MBA, Executive PhD, and PhD (Management). Students who wish to take admission to a 2-year MBA program must fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the institute. They must have passed bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum 50% marks. Also, they must have a valid CAT score.

IIM Sambalpur selection process includes the Group Discussion and Personal Interview round. Students are called for GD/PI round on the basis of their CAT score. The final merit is released once the GD/PI round is concluded. Students have to book their seat by paying an installment of admission fee. IIM Sambalpur MBA fee is INR 13 lakh.

IIM Sambalpur MBA Admission:

Eligibility Criteria:

For the MBA program at IIM Sambalpur, candidates should have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university, with a minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for reserved candidates). 

Selection Process:

Candidates applying at IIM Sambalpur must have a valid CAT or Common Admission Test score. 

IIM Sambalpur Executive MBA (E-MBA) Admission:

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Executive MBA program, candidates need a bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. Applicants are expected to have a minimum of 3 years of professional work experience after their graduation.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the Executive MBA program primarily revolves around the Personal Interview (PI) stage, focusing on assessing candidates' professional experience and suitability for the program.

IIM Sambalpur MBA in Working Professionals (MBA-WP) Admission:

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria for the MBA-WP program is similar to the Executive MBA program. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% and a minimum of 3 years of professional work experience after graduation.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the MBA-WP program includes the Personal Interview (PI) round for each candidate.

IIM Sambalpur PhD Admission:

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates applying for a PhD at IIM Sambalpur should hold a bachelor's degree with a 55% aggregate and a master's degree with a 60% aggregate. 

OR

Candidates with a 5-year integrated master's degree with a 60% aggregate or a master's degree after a 4-year bachelor's degree with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or equivalent marks will also be eligible. 

OR

Professionals with qualifications such as CA/ICWA/CS are eligible for a PhD at IIM Sambalpur with a minimum 60% score in BCom.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the PhD program includes exams such as CAT, GRE, GATE, GMAT, and JRF (UGC/CSIR), with an additional option of IIMSAT. After this, candidates proceed to the Personal Interview (PI) stage as part of the selection process.
