CSIR NET Application Form 2024 (OUT): Steps to Apply, Documents Required & Application Fees

CSIR NET Application Form 2024: CSIR NET application form 2024 has been released by the National Testing Agency. The application form was released on the official website on May 2, 2024. The last date to apply for CSIR NET exam 2024 is May 21. Once the process of application is completed, the NTA will also open CSIR NET application correction window. The application correction window will help the candidate to make changes in the form if they have added any wrong information. 

Meanwhile, candidates who have successfully filled the application form will now be eligible to get their CSIR NET admit card. Meanwhile, the application process is a lengthy procedure and candidates have to fill out various fields including registration, filling out the application form, adding documents and paying application fees. After completing all these procedures the application process will be considered completed.

Another important factor which candidates should keep in mind is that prior to filling the application form they should check CSIR NET eligibility. The CSIR NET eligibility is laid by the UGC and it is released while the CSIR NET official notification is released. If the candidate fulfils the eligibility criteria, then he or she can apply for the exam and if the candidate does not fulfil the eligibility, then they will not be allowed to apply for the examination.

CSIR NET 2024 Application Form

Candidates who wish to appear for the CSIR NET exam are first required to fill the CSIR NET application form. The application form is released by the NTA and is uploaded on the official webiste. Candidates can visit the official homepage of CSIR NET to download the application. Further, the NTA provides an application correction window wherein aspirants can make changes in their application form if they enter any incorrect information. 

Steps to Fill CSIR NET 2024 Application Form

Since the application form has been released candidates can fill the form by following the given simple steps. 

Online Registration for CSIR NET

Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official website of the education board 

Step 2: On the homepage, candidates will find the link that reads 'Fill online application form' -- click on that 

Step 3: Now candidates need to fill in their DOB, mobile number, mail ID contact details, name of their parents and other information as asked. 

Step 4: With this, candidates will receive a registration number and password on their registered mail ID or phone number 

Upload Necessary Documents 

Step 5: According to the latest official announcement made by CSIR NET, candidates do not need to provide any documents including the Category Certificate, the Result Awaited Attestation Form, and others while completing the online application. The application will be deemed incomplete without the scanned copy of the photo and signature, which must still be uploaded. Applicants must provide scanned copies of their passport-size photo and signature that adhere to the required standards.

Fill CSIR NET Application Form 

Step 6: Now a new page will open which will consist of different columns which aspirants need to fill, this may include their name, mother's name, father's name, identity type, identification number, DOB, gender, address, city/town/village, email ID, landline number, locality, state or UT, mobile number, password, security questions, password confirmation and security answer. Once the candidate has filled the entire form, then he or she has to enter the captcha and click on submit. 

Submit CSIR NET Application Fee

Applicants must pay the application fee online using the Syndicate/SBI/HDFC/ICICI bank portal using a debit/credit card, net banking, Paytm, or UPI. There is no offline option for paying fees. According to the chart below, the application price varies depending on the candidate's category:

CSIR NET 2024 Application Form Correction Window 

The NTA will provide an application correction window to all the candidates who will fill the application form. The CSIR NET application window 2024  will help the candidate to edit or rectify any mistakes which the candidate might have done while filling the application form.

Applicants will have the option to change or alter areas including name, parents' names, date of birth, contact information, category, and gender. Moreover, NTA informs candidates through email and SMS about form and appearance correction.

This is the final opportunity to modify and improve the application form. No more requests will be granted. To make changes, candidates must upload supporting documentation and, if applicable, pay additional fees.

CSIR NET Application Form 2024: Documents required

There is a set of documents that candidates need to keep with themselves while they are filling the application form. Candidates can take a look at the following documents which they should keep. 

Candidate's mark sheet for class 10, 12 along with graduation and postgraduation

• Scanned copy of Passport size photo 
• Banking details 
• Category certificate (If applicable)

CSIR NET Admit Card 2024

The CSIR NET hall tickets are released by the National Testing Agency. Only those candidates will be able to get their admit card who have successfully submitted the application form.  The admit cards are released on the official website and candidates can download the document by logging on to the official portal. All applicants who will be taking the exam need the CSIR NET hall tickets as it is a necessary piece of documentation. The admit card will be issued to the candidate provisionally and the document is subject to satisfying the eligibility conditions.

Since the hall ticket is an essential document, candidates must carry the document with them while entering the exam hall. If a candidate is not found with the hall ticket, then he or she will not be allowed to enter the examination centre. The CSIR NET exam hall tickets are generally made available one week prior to the start of the exam. So, a week before the start of the exam, candidates should keep a careful check on the website.

Steps To Download CSIR NET Admit Card

Step 1: Visit the CSIR NET official website.

Step 2: Candidates must fill out the webpage with the necessary data, including their DOB and application number.

Step 3: Once entered, press "Submit."

Step 4: Candidates may view their CSIR NET hall tickets after logging in.

Step 5: Choose "Save" to download the entrance ticket.

Step 6: The candidate's admission card will be downloaded using this.
