TNPSC Group 1 Exam 2026: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has started the TNPSC Group 1 Application Process 2026 from June 30, 2026, at tnpsc.gov.in. Candidates will be able to apply for the same till July 29, 2026 (up to 11:59 PM). As per the official exam schedule announced, after the conclusion of the registration process, the commission will activate the TNPSC Group 1 Application Form 2026 Correction Window from August 2, 2026, at 12:01 AM to August 4, 2026, up to 11:59 PM. The commission had released the TNPSC Group 1 Notification 2026 on June 23, 2026, on the above-mentioned official website. The TNPSC Group 1 Prelims 2026 Exam will be held on September 6, 2026, in a single shift, from 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Along with the official notification, the commission has also released a total of 26 vacancies for this year's exam. These vacancies include job posts such as Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Director of Rural Development, Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, District Officer, and District Employment Officer. To be eligible for these job posts, candidates are required to appear for the TNPSC Group 1 prelims and mains exams. Candidates can now apply for the exam as the commission has released the TNPSC Group 1 Application 2026 on June 30, 2026. TNPSC Group 1 Medical & Physical Requirements
- Candidates are required to provide a medical certificate of physical fitness at the time of joining.
- Except for Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Taxes) and Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, candidates are required to have visual ability of Standard III. Candidates with defective vision must provide a certificate of eye fitness from an eye specialist at the time of joining.
TNPSC Group 1 Language Requirements
Candidates applying for the TNPSC Group 1 services must have adequate knowledge of the Tamil language while applying for the exam. Candidates will be considered for having adequate Tamil knowledge only if they have passed the Tamil Nadu SSLC/HSC/degree examination or any other equivalent qualification.

TNPSC Group 1 Admit Card 2026
The TNPSC Group 1 admit card is released a few days before the examination commences. Candidates will be able to download their hall tickets by visiting the official website of TNPSC. Candidates appearing for the preliminary or main examination must remember that TNPSC will not send the admit card by post. The hall tickets will only be made available online at tnpsc.gov.in. Candidates are required to download their hall ticket using their login credentials.
TNPSC Group 1 Result 2026
The result for the TNPSC Group 1 exam is announced once the examination is concluded. Those who qualify in the TNPSC Group 1 prelims will be eligible to appear in the TNPSC Group 1 mains examination. Candidates who qualify in the mains will move on to the interview round. The final result for the TNPSC Group 1 exam will be announced once the interview round is concluded. All the candidates shortlisted under the final merit list will then be appointed for posts in the TNPSC Group 1 services.
