The SBI PO examination comprises three phases: prelims, mains, and an interview round which are followed by a group discussion.

The SBI PO mains examination consists of two rounds. They are as follows:

Objective section- This section has a weightage of 200 marks. Candidates need to finish all 4 sections in a duration of 3 hours. 

Descriptive section- This test consists of two questions for 50 marks and needs to be answered within a duration of 30 minutes.

SBI PO Group Discussion and Personal Interview- This is the final round of the SBI PO exam. In this round, shortlisted candidates will appear for an interview session along with a group discussion round. The group discussion carries 20 marks while the interview carries 30 marks.   • Candidates are required to visit the official website of SBI and click on the official link.
  • After clicking on ‘apply’, candidates will be redirected to the registration page
  • Candidates are required to provide their personal details and submit the information
  • After completion of the registration process, a registration id along with a password will be sent to the candidates’ registered email address and phone number.
  • Candidates are required to keep an email ID that will be used for the registration process for the SBI PO examinations.

SBI PO Login

  • Candidates are required to log in with the credentials sent to their registered email address and phone number
  • Applicants are then required to upload a scanned image of their passport-size photograph (size- 20kb to 50kb) and signature (10kb to 20kb) in JPEG format.
  • After this, candidates will be required to verify the details and preview the application form carefully.

Three separate admit cards are released for the Prelims, Mains, and Interview rounds of the SBI PO Exam. SBI PO Selection Process 2024

The SBI PO selection process consists of three rounds: prelims, mains, and interview round. Candidates who have cleared all three rounds are shortlisted for the further recruitment process. Shortlisting of candidates is done through the merit list which is drawn on the basis of the candidate’s aggregate performance in the qualifying examinations

SBI PO Prelims

  • The first round of the selection process is to determine the general aptitude of the candidate.
  • The objective rounds last 60 minutes.
  • The exam consists of the following 3 sections: English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude.
  • The overall cut-off will be released by the bank once all the 3 rounds are successfully completed
  • Candidates numbering 10 times the number of vacancies (approx.) in each category will be shortlisted for main exams from the top of the merit list.

SBI PO Mains

  • Only candidates who have qualified in the preliminary round of the SBI PO are eligible for the mains round
  • This round consists of an objective and a descriptive test
  • The exam consists of the following 4 sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning & Computers, and General/Economy/Banking Awareness
  • Based on the aggregate marks scored in the Main Examination and SBI PO Interview, the final merit list will be prepared
