REET Exam Pattern 2024: Subject-Wise Weightage, and Distribution of Marks

REET Exam Pattern 2024: The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan prescribes the REET exam pattern on its official website. Candidates are advised to check the exam pattern before beginning their preparation. Since the REET exam has two papers - paper 1 and paper 2, the exam pattern for both levels is different. The exam pattern helps the candidate to get an idea about the duration of the exam, whether the exam has negative marking and other such details. The exam pattern is released along with the official notification and candidates can access it online.

The teacher eligibility exam is conducted for a duration of 2.5 hours for both levels. Both levels will have 150 questions, and the exam will be conducted in the pen and paper format. While the REET level 1 exam consists of 5 subjects, level 2 has 4 subjects. The questions in the exam will be Objective or Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). REET Exam Pattern 2024

Candidates can take a look at the REET exam pattern 2024 for level 1 and level 2 below. 

REET Level 1 Exam Pattern

• There are five subjects in the REET level 1 exam including Language I and II, Child Development and Pedagogy, Environmental Studies, Mathematics
• The difficulty level for REET Exam level 1 will be equivalent to class 12th.
• Candidates have to complete the exam in two hours and thirty minutes. 

REET Level 2 Exam Pattern

• This level consists of 4 sections including Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Science & Mathematics, or Social Science.
• The difficulty level of the exam will be class 12 or graduate level. 
• Candidates are required to complete the examination in 150 minutes

REET Main Exam 2024 Pattern  

The REET mains exam will be taken to recruit third-grade teachers in the government schools of Rajasthan. The conducting body will announced the dates for the REET main exam on the official website. For the REET level 1 and level 2 exams, the exam pattern is provided in the article.

REET Main Level 1 Exam Pattern

Candidates who wish to become a teacher for (classes 1 to 5) in the government school of Rajasthan will appear for the REET main level 1 exam. 

• The REET Main level 1 exam will be conducted for a total of 300 marks
• The exam will consist of 150 objective type questions in total
• There will be negative marking in the exam. 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer while 2 marks will be awarded for every right answer
• The duration of the exam is of 150 minutes and candidates have to attempt the exam in the given time period

REET Main Level 2  Exam Pattern 

Candidates who wish to become a teacher for upper primary classes will appear for the REET Main Level 2 exam. Take a look at the following exam pattern.

REET Main Level 2 Exam Pattern

• The REET Main level 2 exam will be conducted for 300 marks 
• The exam will consist of 150 questions in total. The questions will be Multile Choice Questions (MCQs). 
• The exam will have negative marking. 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer and candidates will get 2 marks for every right answer.
