CGPSC Cut-Off 2023: Check Cut-Off for Prelims, Mains and Interview, Qualifying Marks

CGPSC Cut-Off 2023:  Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission is responsible for releasing the CGPSC cut-off on the official website. The cut-off is released along with the declaration of results. Further, candidates must know that the cut-off is released differently for different posts. The final CGPSC cut-off will be made by taking the marks of the CGPSC mains exam and interview round. Since there are three stages of examination including prelims, mains and interview, the results for all three stages will be released separately. 

The CGPSC cut-off refers to the minimum score which is required to score by a candidate in order to qualify for the next round of the examination. Apart from the cut-off, CGPSC results also carried a lot of importance for students. It should be noted that there are several factors that affect the cut-off CGPSC. Some of the factors are the number of candidates taking the exam, its difficulty level, and the overall number of posts. Further, candidates should know that the cut-off depends on the category the candidate belongs to. 

Aspirants who are able to score higher than the cut-off then they will be qualified to the next level. On the contrary, those who will not qualify for the exam will not be promoted to the next level. The first stage of the CGPSC exam is the prelims, whereas the second stage is the mains and the final stage is the interview. 

CGPSC Cut-Off 2023

CGPSC cut-off will be released for Prelims, Mains and Interview. The cut-off will be released on the official website in the form of a PDF. Candidates appearing for all three stages are required to score the minimum qualifying marks in order to clear the stage. At last, a final cut-off will be prepared based on the mains and interview's marks. Aspirants who belong to the general category are required to score 33 % in each's stage, whereas the candidates belonging to the reserved category are required to score 23 % to qualify for the examination. 

Candidates must note that the cut-off is released along with the results. While the examination for the year 2023 is yet to be conducted, candidates can take an idea about the previous year's cut-offs regarding the examination. 

Steps to Download CGPSC Cut-Off 

After conducting the exam for each stage, the CGPSC will release the results and cut-off. The cut-off will vary for each of the three phases, but each stage's cut-off may be checked in the same way. Officials of the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission will determine the cut-off, which will be announced on the website of the exam conducting body. Step 3: Now, under the results section candidates need to find the CGPSC cut-off for the post for which the aspirant has appeared for the examination

NOTE: Candidates can download the cut-off and keep the printout for future use. Further candidates must note that the cut-off is different for aspirants belonging to different categories. 

Factors Determining the CGPSC Cut-Off

While the cut-off is being prepared, there are several factors which determine the numbers in the cut-off.  Candidates can take the following factors into consideration while checking the results. 

• Number of candidates who appeared for the examination
• Total number of vacancies released for the post 
• The difficulty level of the examination

CGPSC Final Cut-Off

Once the exam conducting body releases the cut-off for the prelims stage, aspirants will be able to appear for the CGPSC mains exam. After qualifying for the CGPSC mains stage, candidates will be able to appear for the interview stage. Finally, after the successful conduction of the interview, the exam conducting body will release a final cut-off. 

The applicants' scores in the main exam and interview will be used to determine the final cut-off. Once the final selection has been done, candidates who have applied for their respective posts will get recruited.
