SAIL Exam 2025 : Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a central public sector undertaking, will be releasing SAIL Recruitment 2025 notifications. As per the previous trends, SAIL 2025 is expected to release the official notification in the July. In 2024, a total of 249 vacancies are released post of Management Trainee in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their GATE score 2025 and will be selected through Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI). There are 399 vacancies tentatively for various posts for recruitment through GATE 2025.

SAIL is owned by the Steel Authority of India Limited and is India’s largest steel producing company. According to the official notification, SAIL is recruiting candidates for the operation of its plants/units and mines across India.  and many more disciplines. Candidates who are eligible can apply for the various posts in the SAIL. SAIL is accepting valid GATE scores in the recruitment process. SAIL Recruitment 2025: Eligibility 

Thousands of candidates apply each year for coveted positions at SAIL. To shortlist suitable candidates, SAIL has established eligibility criteria that include minimum educational qualifications and an upper age limit.

Nationality : Candidate must be citizen of India.

Qualifying Examination : Candidate must have completed full time B.Tech degree

Candidates interested in applying for Management Trainee posts should possess their Engineering Degree in related disciplines as given below:

Pass Percentage:

• General and OBC (NCL) category - minimum 65% aggregate marks

• SC/ ST and PwD category -  minimum 55% aggregate marks

Final year students: They are not eligible to take the examination.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit for the General category candidates is 28 years.

Relaxation to different category candidates as follows:

• SC & ST - 5 years

• OBC-NC - 3 years

• PWD (UR) - 10 years

• PWD (OBC-NC) - 13 years

• PWD (SC/ST) candidates - 15 years

• Jammu & Kashmir candidates, during January 1, 1981 to December 31, 1990 can avail relaxation up to 5 years

• Departmental candidates should not be more than 45 years

SAIL 2025 Recruitment: Selection Process

SAIL will use scores from eight GATE 2024 Engineering papers: Chemical (CH), Civil (CE), Computer Science (CS), Instrumentation (IN), Electrical (EE), Electronics (EC), Mechanical (ME), and Metallurgical (MT). Candidates who appeared for GATE 2024 in these papers are eligible to apply. SAIL will shortlist candidates based on their GATE 2024 performance and the company's requirements. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via the SAIL careers page, email, or phone to participate in a Group Discussion and Interview. The final selection will be based on a merit list, combining GATE-2025 scores, Group Discussion, and Interview with a weightage of 75:10:15, respectively.

SAIL 2025 Online Application Form: Steps to apply 

Candidates who are eligible to participate in the SAIL recruitment through GATE exam are required to apply online only through the SAIL careers page on SAIL's website: sail.co.in or sailcareers.com. It is important to note that SAIL only accepts online applications and no request for editing of Application details will be entertained in wrong submission cases and candidature will stand rejected.

Follow these steps after the initial registration is done.

• Click on "Registered User" and go further by using User ID & Password.
• Complete the application submission process step by step by filling required information, uploading the documents) as required and making payment online.
• After your payment gets confirmed, a Registration slip will show the status of payment as "confirmed" and that is the confirmation of completion of the Registration process. Registration without confirmation of payment will not be completed.
• Submit the application after completion of all requisites and take a print out of completed application having unique registration ID. Please ensure to download system generated Provisional Registration slip.
