UPSC EPFO Exam 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) releases the recruitment notification for the posts of Enforcement Officer/Account Officer, Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner and Personal Assistant and in EPFO. Last year, the UPSC released the EPFO notification on March 7, 2024. A total of 323 vacancies had been released. The UPSC EPFO notification contains details like eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, and exam centres. The EPFO application form 2025 will also be released along with the notification. Only candidates fulfilling the EPFO eligibility criteria 2025 can apply for the exam through the official website - upsconline.nic.in.
UPSC EPFO exam is conducted for various posts including Enforcement Officer (EO), Accounts Officer (AO) as well as Personal Assistant (PA) in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization. UPSC EPFO Salary 2025
The duties of Personal Assitant in EPFO include taking dictation and typing from officer concerned, handling phone calls of members and field offices, maintaining engagements, preparing tour programmes and travel arrangements, handling parliamentary work, keeping track of files and important papers and monitoring management system of important references.
EPFO Account officers work at desks and report to departments, whereas enforcement officers enforce laws and regulations in designated areas. There are a number of benefits available to the selected candidate, including a competitive salary and permanent employment.
EPFO Pay Scale & Grade Pay - Personal Assistant
Candidates selected for the post of Personal Assistant are classified as Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC, that is, the basic pay for EPFO PA is INR 44,900.

UPSC EPFO Eligibility Criteria 2025 - Personal Assistant
Candidates preparing for the exam must fulfil the EPFO eligibility criteria in order to take the exam. Aspirants failing to fulfil the eligibility requirements will be barred from the exam process at any stage. The eligibility criteria for the EPFO exam is divided into three categories: Nationality, Age Limit, and Educational Qualification.
Nationality
Candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African

Essential Qualifications
Following qualifications are required for the post of EPFO Personal Assistant.
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University.
- Dictation for a period of 10 minutes with a Speed of 120 words per minute in Stenography (English or Hindi).
- Transcription time for the dictation taken should be 50 minutes (English) / 65 minutes (Hindi) only on Computer.
UPSC EPFO Eligibility Criteria for EO/AO 2025
UPSC EPFO eligibility criteria for the posts of Enforcement officers and Account officers is given below.
Nationality
A Candidate must be either:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 01, 1962, to permanently settle in India, or

EPFO Selection Process 2025
There are two stages to the UPSC EPFO Selection Process for the AO/EO recruitment exam. You must pass both of the following stages in order to be qualified to work as an enforcement officer for UPSC EPFO, Ministry of Labour and Employment:

The admit card for the UPSC EPFO exam will be available on the official UPSC website before the exam. You can access the UPSC EPFO admit card on the official website ten to fifteen days before the exam date using your login information. How to Fill EPFO DAF Form?
In the event that a candidate passes the written exam and is invited to the interview round, they must complete the detailed application form (DAF). Candidates will be disqualified if they do not complete the DAF form and submit it subsequently. Additionally, candidates are advised to print their detailed application form. The following are the steps to complete the DAF:
- Check out the UPSC website.
- On the homepage, click "DAF: Enforcement Officer - Accounts Officer, EPFO."
- Select the DAF link.
- You can access the portal using the login information you registered.
- The form must be filled out with the required information, then it must be sent.

EPFO Cutoff 2025
When the selection process is done, the Union Public Service Commission publishes the EPFO cutoff. The cutoff indicates the minimum marks that candidates must receive in order to be included in the final merit list. The remaining candidates will be added to the reserve list if more applicants pass the exam than there are released vacancies.
When two candidates receive the same marks, the older candidate will be taken into consideration for the final recommendation, per the EPFO tie-breaking policy rule.
