UCEED Syllabus 2025 - The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay will release the syllabus for the UCEED exam 2025 on its official website. The syllabus will be released through the official information brochure likely in October 2025. Aspirants who wish to secure admission to the undergraduate design program through UCEED 2025 must be aware of the exam syllabus along with the pattern. The UCEED syllabus consists of Part A and Part B covering topics like Visualization and spatial reasoning, Analytical and logical reasoning, Design sensitivity, Drawing, and Design aptitude.

Candidates must also know the latest and updated UCEED exam pattern 2025 released by IIT Bombay. As per the latest update, the exam is conducted for the duration of 3 hours. Students are given 2 hours to attempt Part A and the remaining 1 hour is for Part B. It must also be noted that Part B is an offline exam, unlike Part A which is conducted online.

UCEED Syllabus 2025

As indicated above, the UCEED syllabus comprises both Part A and Part B. The second section consists of Drawing and Design Aptitude which includes sketching. As per the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) syllabus, the following are the topics from where questions will be asked:

UCEED Exam Pattern 2025

The Part A of the UCEED paper consists of three sections. The details for each section are as follows:

  • Section 1 comprises Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
  • A total of 14 NAT questions are asked in Section 1
  • Each question carries 4 marks
  • There is no negative marking

Section 2

  • Section 2 comprises Multiple Select Questions (MSQs).
  • A total of 15 questions are asked in Section 2
  • Each question has one or more than one answer

Section 3

  • Section 3 consists of Multiple Choice Questions
  • There are 28 Multiple-choice questions
  • Each question carries 3 marks
  • There is a negative marking of 0.71 marks for incorrect answers.

UCEED Marking Scheme for Section B of Part A

The marking scheme for section B of Part A is as follows: 

Full Marks: + 4 If only (all) the correct option(s) is(are) chosen and NONE of the incorrect options is chosen.

Partial Marks: + 3 If all the four options are correct but ONLY three options are chosen and NONE of the incorrect options is chosen.

Partial Marks: + 2 If three or more options are correct but ONLY two options are chosen, both of which are correct and NONE of the incorrect options is chosen.

Partial Marks: + 1 If two or more options are correct but ONLY one option is chosen and it is a correct option and NONE of the incorrect options is chosen.

Zero Marks: 0 If NONE of the options is chosen (i.e., the question is unanswered).

Negative Marks: -1 In all other cases.
