NIFT 2026 Registration (Extended): Last Date to Register, Steps to Apply, Application Fees

NIFT Application Form 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2026 registration process. Now, those candidates who are yet to complete their application form can fill it by January 16, 2026, without any late fee. The application window will open with late fee of INR 5000 from January 17 to 19, 2026. Earlier the last date to submit the application form was January 6, 2026. Following the registration, the NIFT Application Form Correction 2026 will commence from January 20 to 21, 2026. During this window, aspirants will be able to modify their details in the application form. 

The NIFT 2026 entrance exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). To fill in the application form, candidates can visit the official NTA websites - exams.nta.ac.in/NIFTEE or nift.ac.in. The application process contains multiple steps, including registration, filling of application form and payment of fees. The mode of application is online. Candidates can download the official notification through the link provided below. The NIFTEE 2026 examination will be conducted on February 8, 2026 in 102 cities across the country.

NIFT Application Form 2026:  Steps to Register

Eligible candidates can fill out the NIFT registration form 2026 by following the instructions outlined below. 

• Go to the official website of NTA - exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT.
• Click on the link that mentions ‘NIFT Exam 2026 Registration’.
• Register using the required credentials such as your name and contact details. 
• Your login credentials including application number and password will be generated and sent to your registered contact. 
• Now, login using your credentials. The application form will be displayed on the screen.
• Fill each section of the application form including personal details, academic details, exam centre, etc. carefully.
• Candidates will also be required to upload their scanned documents including their photograph and signature.
• Once the application form is complete, applicants can pay the NIFT exam fee online. 
• Download the submitted application form and proof of payment  for future reference.

NIFT Application Fees 2026

Students can submit the NIFT 2026 registration fees online through exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT. Once submitted, applicants must download the fee receipt for future reference. The exam fees details are provided in the table below. 

 Note: If an applicant misses the application deadline, he/she will be able to submit the registration form by paying the late fee of Rs 5000 (in addition to the applicable application fee)

NIFT Application Form 2026: Form Correction window 

Once the application window closes, NTA will open the correction window for candidates, from January 20 to 21, 2026, to make changes (if required) in the details that they have provided in the application form. Any errors can be rectified within the specified deadline. After the correction window closes, no further corrections in the particulars will be permitted. 

NIFT Application Form 2026: Documents Required 

Applicants will be required to upload the following documents for admission.

• Self attested Certificates of qualifying examination i.e.12th class/degree (Marksheet and certificate)
• In case the candidate has appeared/appearing for qualifying exam/compartment (of final year/semester) and the result is due, the date sheet/admit card for appearing examination has to be brought at the time of interview at NIFT
• Proof of date of birth (Secondary school marksheet & certificate) (Original and photocopy)
• SC/ST/OBC - Non-Creamy Layer/PWD supported with requisite certificate in the name of candidate, if applicable
• Certificate of Medical Fitness to be signed by a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format in original
• Self declaration for seeking provisional admission only in case, the result of qualifying examination is yet to be declared
• An undertaking regarding Anti-Ragging
• An undertaking regarding refund of fee
• Artisan Card issued to self/Father/Mother by the Development Commissioner (Handicraft), or Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India
