UCEED Exam 2027 - Exam Date (OUT), Application, Admit Card Result, Cut-Off

UCEED Exam 2027: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, will tentatively release the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) application form in October, 2026. Candidates can apply for the UCEED exam 2027 on the official website -  uceed.iitb.ac.in. The exam will be conducted on 17 January 2027. Only 5 out of the total IITs offer design courses at the undergraduate level through the UCEED exam 2027 - IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Roorkee. The Indian Institute of Information Technology - Jabalpur, also known as IIITDM Jabalpur, also offers a B.Des course through the UCEED entrance exam.

Once the UCEED notification 2027 is released, the registration process will start. IIT Bombay will release the complete schedule on its official website - uceedapp.iitb.ac.in. Those preparing for the exam must be familiar with the pattern and syllabus.UCEED exam 2027 is conducted as a three-hour examination. The question paper carries a total of 300 marks, divided into Part A (200 marks) and Part B (100 marks). Candidates must know that attempting both parts is compulsory.

UCEED Notification 2027

IIT Bombay will release the notification for the UCEED exam on the official website. The notification-cum-information brochure contains the exam details such as dates, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, and expected result date. The official brochure must be downloaded and read thoroughly so aspirants don't miss any important details.

UCEED Registration 2027

UCEED application process 2027 will tentatively start in October 2026, and the last date to apply for the exam will be last week of October 2026. UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2027

The eligibility criteria of UCEED 2027 are released by IIT Bombay, and candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria are required to appear for the exam. Aspirants can check the eligibility requirements below: 

Educational Qualification: 

• The candidate must have passed Class XII in all subjects to appear for the UCEED exam 2027.
• They should have passed Class 10+2 in 2025 or be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first time in 2027.
• Students from all STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts/Humanities) are eligible for UCEED.

Age Limit

The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 2001, if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 1996, if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.

Number of Attempts

• There is a limit of two attempts at UCEED, and those attempts must be done consecutively.
• UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.

UCEED Exam Pattern 2027

IIT Bombay releases the exam pattern for UCEED 2027 through its official notification. Students can check the structure of the exam below:

• There will be ONE question paper of a total of three hours duration.
• The question paper will be in English only.
• The question paper will carry a total of 300 marks.
• The question paper will consist of two parts: Part-A and Part-B. It is compulsory to attempt questions from both parts.
• Types of questions asked - Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

UCEED Answer Key 2027

IIT Bombay has released the UCEED final answer key and question paper for Part-A on January 28, 2027 on its official website - uceed.iitb.ac.in. The answer key, along with the response sheet, is available after the exam. Initially, the institute published a draft answer key, allowing candidates to raise challenges if they were unsatisfied with the provided answers. After the challenge window closes, IIT Bombay releases the final answer key along with the results.

UCEED Result 2027

The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, last year released the UCEED 2026 results on March 10, 2027, on the official website - uceed.iitb.ac.in. Those who appeared for the exam conducted on January 18, 2027,  could check and download their result from the official portal. After the results were published, the examination body released the scorecard on March 10, 2026, onwards.  Aspirants who took the UCEED exam were able to download their scorecards using their login credentials. The UCEED scorecard is valid for one year, meaning students must secure admission in the same year.
