National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh: Established under the National Institute of Technology, Science and Research act of 2007 along with 9 other NITs, NIT Arunachal Pradesh was established in the year 2010, is an institute of national importance.Earlier it functions from its temporary campus located in Yupia, Arunachal Pradesh, while currently functioning from its permanent campus in Jote, Papum Pare district, Arunachal Pradesh.The institute functions under the mentorship of NIT Durgapur.In the year 2021 NIT-AP secured 160th rank in NIRF ranking in engineering category.

NIT Arunachal Pradesh offers undergraduate B.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Bio-Technology. M.Tech and PhD level programs are also offered by the institute with specialisation in engineering and related fields. The departments encompass engineering fields such as Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Civil, and Bio-Technology,along with inclusion from science related field like Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics, and humanities including Management and English in the specialisation offered by institute across diverse disciplines.

The admission process of NIT-AP includes students qualifying national level examinations like JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) for B.Tech course and GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) for M.Tech, whereas admission in doctoral level programmes is based on entrance exam conducted on institute level which is followed by candidates going through a personal interview round.

The institute has a dedicated placement cell acting as a bridge between students and companies by bringing up diverse opportunities to its students and molding them into industry professionals. The average salary package offered to students stood at INR 13.5 LPA while for the highest package offered is INR 32 LPA. Academic Facilities: For advanced studies and research, laboratories are there in the college campus with the latest instruments and technology for hands-on learning and research. A well stocked library with access to all academic related resources is there to help students for their research and development.

Accommodation Facilities: NIT Arunachal Pradesh has a total of 8 hostels out of which five are reserved for boys and three for girls respectively. Each hostel has a private mess along with a warden to take care of all the happenings in and around the hostel.Students have access to amenities like Wifi, electricity, water and diverse range of food.

Sports and Recreational Facilities: Gym with modern equipment are made accessible to students for their physical fitness, Sports complex with facilities for indoor and outdoor games such as cricket, football, basketball, badminton, and table tennis.
