BSE Odisha Class 10 Exam Pattern 2024: The BSE Odisha Class 10 exam pattern has changed according to the BSE Odisha board. Students were recently informed of the exam pattern modification via an official notification. The BSE Odisha 10th exam 2024 will take place with a new assessment pattern.

According to the exam pattern laid out by the Odisha board, the exam pattern has two types of papers. While one is an MCQ based the other is a subjective paper. The total marks are set as 100. As per the new exam pattern, 50/40 of the 100/75 marks are MCQs, while 50/35 are subjective questions.

Candidates must know that the question in both the terms (SA - I & II) will be asked from the syllabus laid out by the education board. The syllabus is further outlined in the term-wise break of the syllabus given by the education board. Also, candidates should be aware that the set of syllabus from term 1 will not be included in term II.  

BSE Odisha Class 10 Exam Pattern 2024

The BSE Odisha class 10 exam pattern is set by the Odisha board. The main aim of the exam pattern is to enlighten the students with the marks given to each subject, the mode of the exam, whether the exam is conducted in the MCQ or descriptive format and other such details. This will help the students who are preparing for the examination. 

According to the new exam pattern, the question paper will have 4 objective question sets instead of 3. On the other hand, earlier, the General Science and Social Science has a distribution of 7 and 8 marks which has now been changed into  5 and 10 marks respectively.  In order to qualify for the exam, candidates need to score a minimum of 15 marks in objective as well as subjective portions on a separate basis. BSE Odisha Class 10 Exam Pattern for English Language 

There are two types of questions -  Objective and subjective paper

  • The total marks for the exam are set as 100 
  • The subjective paper is of 50 marks 
  • The exam will have 50 MCQs and rest 50 will be 50 subjective questions.
  • As per the new exam pattern, 50/40 of the 100/75 marks are MCQs, while 50/35 are subjective questions.

BSE Odisha Class 10 Exam Pattern for General Science

The general science exam is for 2 hours and the full mark is 80 marks. The subject is divided into two sub-topics. While the first one is physical science, another one is life science.

  • Like other subjects, the physical science exam is divided into two types - Objective and Subjective
  • The objective paper has 25 multiple-choice questions which are of one mark each 
  • The subjective type paper has two questions. While the first question is of 8 marks, the second question is of 7 marks

The social science exam is of two-hour duration and the full mark is 80. Further, the exam is divided into two sub-topics including History and Political Science and Geography and Economics. 

History and Political Science 

  • The subject is divided into two papers - Objective and Subjective. 
  • While the objective has 25 MCQ questions with each question having 1 mark. 
  • On the other hand, the subjective paper which is a cumulative of History and Civis has two questions.
  • The history subject consists of 10 marks, whereas the civics subject consists of 5 marks
