BSEB Class 10 Exam Pattern 2024: The Bihar board releases the BSEB Class 10 exam pattern on its official website. The exam pattern is released in the form of a PDF and it is released along with the syllabus. It is important for students to be familiar with the exam pattern and marking scheme as it will help to understand which topic consists of higher weightage. The main aim of the exam pattern is to shed light on topics such as the duration of the examination, total marks, total questions and other information. 

As per the exam pattern, the class 10 exam was taken in offline mode which meant that the students had to physically appear for the examination. According to the official schedule, the BSEB class 10th board exams 2024 will be conducted from February 15 to 23, 2024, in offline mode. Last year, the board officials conducted the BSEB class 10 exams from February 14 to 22, 2023. The BSEB declared the results for class 10 on March 31, 2023.

BSEB Class 10 Exam Pattern 2024 for English 

Candidates can take a look at the following exam pattern for the English subject. 

• English subject has 5 units and each unit consists of different marks. 
• Grammar and composition consist of 15 marks 
• English Prose is of 20 marks 
• The highest weightage in this subject is of Text Book & Supplementary Textbooks which is of 50 marks. 

Bihar Board Matric Exam Pattern 2024 for Sanskrit

The Sanskrit subject of BSEB Class 10 exam has 4 sections and each section has different markings. 

• The total marks for the Sanskrit subject consist of 100 marks 
• The bifurcation of marks is as follows : 
• The unseen passage section is 13 marks, whereas the writing section of the subject consists of 15 marks. 
• The Applied Grammar and Translation section is 32 marks and the highest mark in the entire 4 sections is for Applied Grammar and Translation which is 40 marks. 

BSEB 10th Exam Pattern 2024 for Hindi

 The Hindi subject of BSEB class 10 syllabus consists of 5 sections. 

• The total marks for all the particular subjects are 100
• The highest weightage topic in the subject is Textbook which consists of 40 marks. 
• On the other hand, writing and grammar consist of 15 marks respectively. 
• The topic of the Supplementary Textbook is of 10 marks and the unseen passage topic is of 20 marks. 

BSEB Matric Exam Pattern 2024 for Social Science

The Social science subject consists of 5 units among which 3 units consist of the same marks. 

• The highest weightage unit in the social science subject is for History, civics, and Geography as each unit is of 25 marks. 
• The second highest weightage unit in the subject is Economics which is 22 marks. 
• Lastly, the Disaster Management unit consists of 6 marks. 

BSEB Class 10 Paper Pattern 2024 for Science 

The science subject of the BSEB class 10 exam consists of three main topics including the theory paper, practical paper and internal assessment. 

• The total mark allocated for the subject is 100 marks. 
• The highest weightage goes to the theory exam which is 60 marks 
• On the other hand, practicals and internal assessments consist of 20 marks respectively. 

BSEB Class 10 Exam Pattern 2024 for Mathematics

The Maths subject consists of 6 topics. 

• The total marks allocated for this subject is 100 marks 
• Topics including Real Numbers, Coordinate Geometry,  Statistics & Probability are of 10 marks respectively. 
• Topics including Algebra & Arithmetic Progression and Trigonometry are of 20 marks each
• The highest weightage is for the topic of Mensuration which is 30 marks. 

BSEB Class 10 Marking Scheme 2024

As per the marking scheme laid out by the Bihar board, the candidate has to score at least 30 marks out of 100 in every subject in order to qualify for the examination. Further, the candidate should note that the aggregate marks should be at least equal to 150.
