Symbiosis International Deemed University (SIU) Admission 2024 Update: has released the application schedules for its esteemed entrance examinations, offering admissions to a range of undergraduate courses across its affiliated institutions. The tests include the SET-General (Symbiosis Entrance Test), SET-Law, also known as the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT), and the Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE). Symbiosis International Deemed University (SIU):

Symbiosis International Deemed University was established in 2002, following Section 3 of the UGC Act, to fill a gap in management education provided by private institutes. The Institute's history began in 1971, when the Symbiosis Society, a not-for-profit organization, was founded. The institute is ranked #32 in the university category and #59 in the overall category by NIRF Ranking 2023. Moreover, its constituent management college, SIBM Pune, is also ranked #17 in the management category. SIU is also accredited by NAAC with a grade A and is awarded Category-I status by UGC.

SIU fee structure varies for every constituent college. For instance, the overall cost of the MBA program at SIBM Pune is roughly INR 25 lakh, but at SIIB, the fee varies depending on the specialization. A limited number of scholarship options are also available to students at the university. Only those who performed well in the SNAP/SET admission test are eligible for the SIU scholarship for female students and students from the North-East region.

SIU Location

Located in Lavale, Mulshi, Pune, Maharashtra, SIU is merely 27 km away from the Pune International Airport. Similarly, the nearest railway station, Dapodi Railway Station, is nearly 18 km away from the main campus building. SIU Courses

The university is divided into 8 faculties, each of which includes a number of constituent colleges that provide a range of UG and PG programmes. Although MBA is the school's flagship program, it also offers additional courses including LLB, LLM, B.Sc Nursing, BA (Mass Communication), B.Tech, B.Des, M.Sc Nursing, MA (Mass Communication), and M.Tech programs. SIU Admissions

SIU B.Tech Admission Process

  • Eligible students need to appear for and obtain a valid score in JEE Main or SITJEE or MHT-CET
  • Next, interested students need to fill the application form for admission in SIU
  • According to the score, students will be shortlisted to participate in the counseling round
  • Final selection will be made based on the overall performance of the students
  • Selected students will have to verify their documents and pay the required fee

SIU M.Tech Admission Process

  • Eligible students need to sit for and obtain a valid score in GATE
  • Next, interested students need to fill the application form for admission in SIU
  • Students will be shortlisted based on the score in GATE and an entrance exam conducted by the Institute for SIU admissions
  • Shortlisted students will have to participate in a counseling round
  • Selected students will have to verify their documents and pay the required fee

SIU BA Admission Process

  • Candidates have to apply for and obtain a valid score in Symbiosis Entrance Test
  • Next, candidates need to fill the online admission form 
  • Based on the score of the students, some will be shortlisted for a personal interview and a written test round
  • Based on the overall performance of the students in all the rounds, a merit list will be released

SIU MBA Admission Process

  • Candidates need to appear for and obtain a valid score in SNAP test

SIU Placements

Every year, the university's dedicated training and placement cell holds placement drives. The dedicated placement cell trains students on how to crack the best offers by teaching them the needed skills for the placement round. They train students on how to sit for interviews, how to obtain a valid score in written tests and how to negotiate for the best and deserving offers. The placement cell conducts mock tests and interviews, so that the students are experienced and know what to expect when the actual placement drive takes place. 

The placement report for 2022 has not yet been made public by the institute. However, over 5136 pupils were hired by reputable organizations, according to the NIRF Report 2022. More than 3200 students from PG programs and the remaining from UG programs were placed overall. In the SIU placement drive, the median package given to PG and UG students was INR 18 LPA and INR 8.7 LPA, respectively.
