SBI PO Result 2023: Different stages
The SBI PO exam results are declared in the following three stages:
SBI PO Prelims Result
The SBI PO 2023 prelims results will decide who is eligible and qualified to attempt the Mains exam. The result showcases the section-wise marks obtained by the candidates in the preliminary round. In simpler terms, based On the marks obtained in the prelims exam, candidates are shortlisted for the mains round of the examination.
SBI PO Mains Result
The SBI PO 2022 mains result was released on 10th March 2023. The result for SBI PO Mains 2023 will release after the exam for the same has been conducted. This result comprises the name of candidates shortlisted for the SBI PO interview round. Further, the result is uploaded on the official website of the State Bank of India in the form of a pdf. On the basis of the performance in the mains exam, a merit list is prepared. Shortlisted candidates are then meant to undergo SBI PO Group Exercises and Interview.
SBI PO Final Result
The SBI PO final result is prepared by taking into consideration candidates’ marks obtained in the mains exam and interview. While preparing the final result, candidates’ scores are normalized out of 100. Marks secured by the candidates in the mains exam are converted to 75 out of 250 while the marks of the interview are converted to 25 out of 50 marks. Shortlisting is done from the top-ranked candidates in each category. Candidates who qualify can download their offer letters by logging in using their credentials and captcha code. Every year, the State Bank of India releases the SBI PO exam results on its official website after the completion of each round. Candidates can check their result by downloading the pdf from the official website. Below are the steps, candidates need to follow for downloading SBI PO exam results:
- Candidates must visit the official website of the State Bank of India
- Click on the ‘Current Opening’ option from the ‘Join SBI’ tab
- Click on the ‘Recruitment of Probationary Officers’ tab
- A drop menu will appear, select the ‘Mains Result’ link
- Candidate will be redirected to a new page
- Candidates can search their roll number by clicking ‘Ctrl+F’
- Candidates can now download PDF of the result and save it

The SBI PO scorecard is declared by the State Bank of India, along with the SBI PO exam results. SBI PO Exam Results Normalization Process
Normalization of marks is a practice carried out by the State Bank of India to ensure fair evaluation of candidates. The SBI PO exam is conducted in multiple slots and the questions in each slot differ from each other in terms of difficulty level.
Below are some details regarding the normalization method:
- The equi-percentile method has been adopted for carrying out the normalization process
- For each slot of the exam, a percentile rank of the candidate is calculated using the following formula:
Candidate’s percentile rank= {(Total number of students in a slot)-(Rank of the candidate in that slot)/ (Total number of students in a slot – 1)} x 100
- Candidates are recruited strictly on the basis of the SBI PO result cum merit list.
