NEET UG Counselling 2025: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) started the counselling process for NEET UG 2025 from July 21, 2025. The NEET UG Counselling Stray Vacancy round result has been announced by the committee. MCC extended the choice filling facility for the Stray Vacancy Round of NEET UG Counselling 2025 till November 11, 2025 (11:55 PM). The committee released a revised schedule for Round 3 and the Stray Vacancy round of NEET UG 2025 counselling, in response to changes prompted by new seat additions and procedural updates. The NEET UG 2025 stray vacancy round registration began on November 4, with the registration closing date set as November 9, 2025. Candidates had to fill out and lock their choices between November 5 and 9, 2025, earlier. The seat allotment results for the stray vacancy round were to be declared on November 12, 2025. The committee is yet to announce the revised dates for the seat allotment result and reporting. Following the result, candidates were required to report to their allotted colleges from November 13 to November 20, 2025. Candidates are now advised to wait for an official update on the revised dates for reporting.

The committee has released the final seat allotment result for Round 3 of the NEET UG Counselling 2025 on October 23, 2025. Candidates who participated in this round can now check their allotment status on the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in. Candidates must report to the allotted institutes between October 24 to November 1, 2025. The committee had extended the Round 3 choice-filling facility till October 18, 2025.

The MCC has announced the Final Seat Allotment result for Round 2 on September 18, 2025. The provisional result was released on September 17, 2025. The committee extended the NEET UG Counselling Round 2 choice filling till September 15, 2025, as per the notification dated September 13, 2025.

The MCC published the Final Result for Round 1 of NEET UG Counselling 2025 on its official website on August 13, 2025. The committee had released the provisional results for Round 1 of NEET UG counselling 2025 on August 12 at mcc.nic.in. The schedule for NEET-UG 2025 counselling and admissions has been released on the committee's official website, outlining key dates for all rounds of counselling under both State and All India Quota (AIQ) seats, including Deemed and Central Universities. The counselling process will be conducted in four rounds, with the last date of joining set for November 20, 2025.

There are two types of NEET UG merit lists for students. While the first one is a 15% AIQ merit list, the second is for state-wise medical counselling. NEET UG counselling consists of four primary 4 rounds, including Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and the Stray Vacancy Round. 

The first two rounds of the counselling process are for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and deemed & central universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC, and AFMC. Round 3, also known as the NEET UG Mop-Up Round, is conducted for the remaining 85% of state quota seats. The final round of the counselling process is the NEET UG stray vacancy round, which is for students who have not been selected in Round 1, Round 2, or the Mop-Up Round.

If the seats are still left vacant, then these are given for the stray vacancy round to the respective institutes or colleges. Once all four rounds of the NEET UG counselling process are completed, additional rounds of counselling will be conducted to fill the remaining seats.

The committee has released the final seat allotment result for the Stray Vacancy round on its official website. The seat allotment result list is issued in a PDF format and includes all the selected candidates with their respective allotted institutes.

NEET UG Counselling Round 3 Result 

The Medical Counselling Committee has officially released the final seat allotment result for Round 3 of the NEET UG Counselling 2025 on October 23, 2025. Candidates who participated in this round can now check their allotment status on the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.

In this round, 5,529 candidates were allotted fresh medical seats while 3,614 candidates received upgrades to better preferences. The institute reporting window for the allotted seats has begun on October 24 and will continue until November 1, 2025. Candidates must download their allotment letter from the MCC portal and bring it along with required documents such as the NEET rank card, admit card, caste and category certificates, and valid photo identification for the admission process.

NEET UG Counselling Round 2 Result 2025

NEET UG Counselling Round 2 Final Seat Allotment Result has been announced on the official website on September 18, 2025. As per the latest notification in this regard (dated September 18, 2025), the committee has clarified that the result remains unchanged as declared on September 18, 2025, at 11:40 AM. Hence, the candidates are advised to download the allotment letter and proceed for reporting as per the schedule without any change.

The committee declared the Provisional Result for Round 2 of NEET UG Counselling 2025 on September 17, 2025, on its official website. Candidates who participated in Round 2 counselling are informed that the provisional result is now available for viewing. However, this result is indicative in nature and subject to change. Any discrepancies identified by candidates in the provisional result must be reported immediately via email to the MCC at mccresultquery@gmail.com by September 18, 2025 (10:00 AM). After this deadline, the provisional result will be considered final, and no further changes will be entertained.

The MCC had extended the choice filling for the second round of NEET UG Counselling 2025 till September 13, 2025 (8:00 AM). The choice locking facility was available from September 14 (1:00 PM) to September 15 (8:00 AM). The registration process for the second round began on September 4, 2025.

The Medical Counselling Committee has published the final result for Round 1 of NEET UG Counselling 2025 on its official website on August 13, 2025. Candidates may proceed to report to their allotted college/institute from August 14 onwards, as per the schedule. Candidates are also advised to download the allotment letter and carry all the required documents in original along with photocopies for verification. As per the latest notification dated August 14, 2025, reporting begins from August 14, 2025. Candidates can report to the allotted institute by August 22, 2025, and the verification process will be conducted on August 23, 2025. 

The MCC has released the provisional result for Round 1 of NEET UG counselling 2025 on August 12 at mcc.nic.in. Any discrepancy in the result may be immediately informed by the candidates to MCC  till August 13, 2025, by 11:00 AM. Candidates can reach out to the committee using the given email: mccresultquery@gmail.com. It is important to note that the Provisional Result will be treated as ‘Final’ after the challenge window closes, that is, August 13, 2025 (11:00 AM).

As per the official notification by the committee, the provisional result is only indicative in nature and subject to change. The candidates cannot claim any right over the allotted seat in the provisional result, and this cannot be challenged before the Court of Law. Candidates are advised to report to the allotted institute/college after the declaration of the final result. It is advisable to carry along the allotment letter from the MCC website.

Another important aspect of MCC NEET UG counselling is the registration process. Here are the steps through which candidates can register for the NEET UG counselling. 

Step 1: Candidates need to go to the official website of NTA 

Step 2: On the homepage, candidates will find the link that reads the 'New Registration Round' tab 

Step 3: Now, the candidate needs to select the 'New candidate registration' tab 

Step 4: Now, the candidate needs to read the given instruction and click on the 'I agree' check box 

Step 5: Candidates have to enter mandatory details such as NEET UG roll number, NEET UG application number, mother’s name, date of birth, and security pin

Step 6: Click on 'submit' 

Step 7: Once clicked on submit,  credentials will be generated and sent to the registered email address

Step 8: Candidates have to complete the registration form by entering personal, educational, NEET 2023 results and other details and uploading a scanned photograph and signature

Step 9: Pay the registration fee and take a printout of the registration confirmation page

To participate in the NEET counselling process, candidates are required to fulfil the following eligibility criteria: 

  • The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)
  • Candidates must have registered themselves on the official website of MCC 
  • All applicants may take part in the counselling for AIQ seats and designated universities, including those who are from the UT of J&K.

Candidates who will report to the institutes which have been assigned to them for confirmation of the seat must carry the following documents with them:

  • NEET UG admit card 2025
  • NEET UG result 2025 or rank letter
  • Class 10 mark sheet and certificate
  • Class 12 mark sheet and certificate
  • Valid, non-expired and government-issued photo ID proof
  • Six to eight passport-sized photographs (preferably the same as the one submitted with the NEET application form)
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability Certificate (if applicable)
  • Provisional allotment letter

NOTE: Candidates are required to carry both original and photocopies of the above-mentioned documents.

The first round's empty seats will be carried over to the second round. The seats that remain open after the second round of NEET counselling will be moved to the respective state quota. Through a mop-up round of NEET counselling, the vacant seats in the AIQ quota of Deemed Universities, Central Universities, and ESIC colleges would be filled. The institutional round or stray round of NEET Counselling will fill any open seats.

The counselling process for the NEET UG exam consists of various stages. Here are the important stages included in the NEET UG counselling process:

Choice Filling 

Once the registration process is completed, candidates need to fill in the choices by logging into the registered account on the MCC portal

  • Candidates need to select the course/college in the desired order of preference 
  • Candidates are allowed to fill in any number of choices from the list provided
  • Candidates also have the option of adding/deleting a choice 
  • Further, candidates  can also move up/ move down a choice as per their preference
  • Once done with choice filling, candidates must save a copy of the choices filled for future reference 

Seat Allotment 

Based on the AIR obtained by the candidate in NEET 2025 and the choices filled in the registration form, a seat allocation list will be prepared.

The seat allocation results will be uploaded to the MCC's official website. 

Reporting to the college allotted 

Candidates who receive seats in NEET UG counselling must show up at the designated institutes for document verification and seat confirmation. A candidate's candidature will be revoked if they accept the seat that has been offered to them but fail to report to the offered institute by the deadline.

Apart from counselling in MBBS, MSC, and MDS programs, NEET UG qualified candidates can also apply for AYUSH counselling. The AYUSH counselling is conducted by the Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC). The Ayush counselling is for the following programs:
