NEET Counselling 2024

NEET Counselling 2024

NEET UG Counselling 2024: Candidates who wish to be considered for NEET UG counselling must score above 15% All India Quota Cutoff. There are two types of NEET UG merit lists for students. While the first one is 15% AIQ merit list, the second is the  All India Rank (AIR) merit list. NEET UG counselling consists of 4 rounds including - Round 1, Round 2, Mop up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round.

The first two rounds of the counselling process are for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and deemed & central universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC, and AFMC. Round 3, also known as NEET UG Mop-Up Round, is conducted for the rest of 85% of state quota seats. The NEET UG Mop round does not include 15% AIQ seats. The final round of the counselling process is the NEET UG stray vacancy round which is for those students who have not been selected in Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-Up Round.

If the seats are still left vacant, then these seats are given for the stray vacancy round to respective institutes or colleges. Once all four rounds of the NEET UG counselling process are completed, additional rounds of counselling will be conducted to fill the seats which have remained vacant.

MCC releases the NEET UG Cutoff in the form of opening and closing ranks. NEET UG opening rank is the highest rank, which corresponds to the maximum marks, and the closing rank is the lowest rank.
