Candidates intending to take the TS POLYCET examination are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria given below.

Nationality and Domicile

  • The candidate applying must be an Indian Citizen 
  • The candidate must be a resident of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh

Educational Qualification

  • For admission in diploma courses offered through POLYCET, candidates must have passed the SSC (Class 10) or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Mathematics as one of the subjects
  • Candidates belonging to NIOS / APOSS / OTHER Examinations should have passed all the subjects, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, with a minimum of 35% Marks in each subject.
  • Candidates who are appearing for the SSC or equivalent examination and whose results are yet to be declared are also eligible to apply.

If one or more candidates manage to get the same score in the TS POLYCET 2026 exam, then the exam conducting body SBTET, can use the tie-breaking rule to determine the rank of candidates.

  • If the candidate gets higher marks in Mathematics,s then he/she will be ranked higher.
  • If the tie still persists, thenthe candidate with higher marks in Physics will be ranked higher.
  • If the tie still persists, the candidate who is older gets a higher rank.
  • If the tie still persists, the candidate with higher marks in the qualifying exam will get a higher rank.
