CDS result 2024 has been announced by UPSC on its official website on May 9, 2024. The CDS 1 result 2024 is released in the form of the merit list of selected candidates.

CDS Result 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the CDS 1 result 2024 on May 9 at the official website - upsc.gov.in. The CDS result is released in the form of a PDF containing roll numbers of qualified candidates which can be downloaded from the official website.

Candidates who pass the CDS exam will be called for the SSB Interview round, following which UPSC will create a final merit list based on which selected candidates will be commissioned to different Indian Armed Forces. UPSC will also release the CDS Cut off 2024 after the completion of the selection process.

The Commission releases the CDS Result PDF containing the names of selected candidates in the order of merit. As part of the preparation of the merit list, Medical Examination results of candidates have not been taken into account. The candidature of all the candidates is Provisional. Verification of the Date of Birth and Educational Qualification of these Candidates will be done by Army Head Quarters.

CDS Result 2024

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) releases the CDS result for both the written examination and SSB Interview after each process ends. The CDS written exam result is published as a PDF document that includes the roll number and names of the selected candidates. The scores of non-qualified candidates are disclosed by UPSC only if the candidate has opted for it. 

After the entire selection process is completed, the CDS marksheet is released. It includes the scores of candidates who passed the exam and were chosen for the training programme.

How to check the UPSC CDS Result 2024?

The CDS result is announced on the official website of UPSC. Candidates can see the steps below to check their result:

  • Visit the official website of UPSC
  • The home page of the website will have the CDS Result link
  • Click on the link
  • The CDS result PDF will be displayed on the screen
  • Candidates can use the shortcut key (Ctrl F) to find their name and roll number.
  • Download the PDF and save it for future reference

CDS Result 2024: Public Disclosure of Marks

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) publicly discloses the marks of non-qualified candidates. Only the candidates who opted for it will receive the marks, though. The CDS marks PDF will be released on the official website of UPSC. The PDF will contain the following information:

  • Name of the Candidate
  • Roll Number
  • Father’s Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Category
  • Educational Qualification
  • Address
  • Email ID
  • Marks

Note: IMA, INA, and AFA scores and other details of non-qualified candidates are disclosed out of 600 marks each. On the other hand, candidates who applied for OTA will receive a score out of 400.

CDS Marksheet 2024

The CDS marksheet is released by UPSC on its official website after the declaration of the CDS final result. The marksheet/scorecard includes the name and roll number of the candidate, date of birth, marks obtained in the written examination and SSB interview round. The steps to download the CDS marksheet are as follows:

  • Visit the official website of UPSC
  • In the What’ New section, you can find the CDS Marksheet link
  • Click on the link
  • Select either the Registration ID or Roll Number options.
  • Enter the details along with the date of birth
  • Click on submit button and marksheet will appear on the screen
  • Download and save the marksheet for future reference.

CDS Result 2024: Calculation of Marks

  • In the English Language & General Knowledge section, 0.83 marks will be given for each correct response.
  • In the English Language & General Knowledge paper, 0.27 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • In the Elementary Mathematics exam, one mark will be given for each correctly answered question.
  • In the Elementary Mathematics exam, 0.33 marks will be subtracted for each incorrect answer.
  • No marks will be deducted or awarded for questions that are not answered.

Yes, in order to pass the CDS written exam, candidates must receive the minimum required marks (20%) in each subject.

Am I eligible for the CDS 2 exam if I did not clear the CDS 1 exam?
